Adding "details" to the story that weren't present in the original version is a sign the story is made up.

USA Today confirmed it with a brit expat guy that lives in Hong Kong that could not have been Near's official employer or boss because there is no way that guy or his company in Hong Kong could have sponsored a visa for Japan. And the company in Japan that the Hong Kong guy claims is their Tokyo office is just a reseller for expat guys crappy products.

I don't know if near is dead or not. It doesn't matter. But these guys need to stop thinking that because stuff happens in Japan no one else can actually confirm anything like this is 200 years ago and there is no internet/very few foreigners in the country.
USA Today "confirmed" it with an unverified character on the internet who could have been Hector or "byuu" himself.

japs might just have filed the death a couple days later
wait another month imo, once the data for august is online and he doesn't show up in that list either then we know for sure that he's alive
Yeah this could happen, but it was over 2 months and only proof of guys death is randos on the internet claiming yeah he is dead source trust me here is urn with his name on it.
Congratulations KiwiFarms..

No official document no statement from family nothing.

Devil's Advocate here:
Is it possible nigga fucked off into the Japanese suicide forest and the body hasn't been found yet?
Official Story from Twatter post is Near hanged himself inside his apartment while being on phone call with guy who made post.

At this point we have hard evidence Byuu didn't kill himself and that no police report was ever filed. The burden of proof is on them right now to show he actually did it.

Because no police report was ever filed Hector's claim that investigators told him he was dead is 100% a proven lie, otherwise it would have appeared in the report. Upon retrospect the lack of a police report is also a really good reason as to why there was little news coverage of his death in Japan. (The only one I remember was an article that quoted the Kotaku article, not a primary source that did any actual investigating.)

I like the part where it's B-BUT KF STILL KILLED PEOPLE.
Without knowing that 90% of the people that "died" also did the same fucking thing.

Why do people always make up weird statistics and it's always "90%"? Who are these 90%? You mean the 100% of confirmed dead people?

Yeah, that's what I find most curious about it at all. Honestly, I'm still sort of 50/50 on whether or not he necked himself. That end of month cut-off thing with the dates could be plausible (it's what I first thought of), yet so is him faking his own death.

However, you would think that if a relative of yours killed himself after being 'bullied online', there would be relatives crowing from the rooftops shouting about Kiwifarms and 'hate sites'. Yet not one statement. Not even in the USA today article. Bizzare.

Unless, of course, he was so insufferable as a person that his family don't care if he did it either.

What will Hector do when either:
• Media updates the story
• Six month pass and shockingly, there's no change in the data

Is the plan to just constantly hope everyone is too stupid for their own good? I feel like the current story is just assuming your followers, friends, etc, are dumbasses who cannot check this information themselves (even just out of curiosity) or just blindly trust you?
Although I'd assume however many remain do fall into the dumbass category for ever believing Byuu was dead, but I'd give some slack for the silently skeptical.

I want to be optimistic and hope it strikes a nerve with someone who has experienced actual loss to suicide. Just to knock him down a few, when they make a rambling tweet that gets traction.
