Seems like the super-smart ones who probably make up 99% of Harvard students wouldn't have anything in common with Jazz, nor would they have the patience to deal with Jazz's simpleton ways, like his 5th grade level poetry. Who at Harvard could stand to deal with him long term when he doesn't hold a candle to their intellect and drive? Any friendships they make with him will just be superficial, for woke cookies. Pretty sure Hogg is still there, but I think he wants his own constant spotlight and attention for being 90 pounds soaking wet and terrified of the Bill of Rights, i.e., he won't choose to hang out with a dopey reality TV pseudo-celebrity. He actually thinks he's savvy and views himself as a future politician or policymaker.

And now that I think about it, obnoxious enbies and trenders may be too resentful of Jazz's "fame" to be friends. These people crave so much validation and affirmation and don't want to compete for it. Very curious to see if Jazz forms any real relationships at school. Only extremely softhearted and patient young women can typically pretend to tolerate or enjoy being around someone like Jazz. He can meet them in Medical Management of the Female Body (an actual course at Harvard, lol) or a poetry survey class.

We've seen huge scars on Jazz tights on that beach picture, so I assume there must be more and likely the same or worse looking ones in the fakegina area. When large, badly cicatrized scars like these are stretched (normal body movement such as stretching, for example) it is painful.

For an (mostly) unnoticeable scar there are two main requirements: A good surgeon and a patient's luck. If they end up with keloid it'll look really ugly.

Gaining a massive amount of weight in a short period of time is like the surest way to turn even the most subtle scar into a stretched, ugly mess.

That's true, but Jazz is really, really dumb and childlike. He is not remotely intellectual (or pseudo-intellectual). I guess he's good enough at math and memorization since he was valedictorian, but he has never expressed complex or cohesive thoughts, just talking points and platitudes. His trans identity is completely rooted in dysphoria, which is passe, even TERF-like, to many who buy into this crap now. He is also not cool wearing those ugly Florida hausfrau muumuus instead of trendy youthful clothes and obsessing over Disney bullshit.

So yes, people at Ivies are woke, but aside from the uber-nerd overachieving (often Asian) stereotype reared by tiger moms, they're not incredibly immature, emotionally stunted, or socially inept, at least not in the profound developmental ways that Jazz is. Jazz is almost 21 and acts about 13 on his best day, so we shall see. He probably only needs a few "friends" or active participation in a queer organization to make school more tolerable anyway.

@AssignedEva move in weekend, even in the US, is the perfect time to get booze into your dorm underaged. It's not that hard to come by anyway and no one is going through hundreds of suitcases to see what someone might have in them. After that, it's a bit more tricky, but still pretty easy.

That said, I think Jazz will be desperate enough for companionship that she'll drink if offered. Her whole family does, it's not like she hasn't been exposed to it before. And there's nothing wrong with that except, as others have mentioned, she may start turning to that AND food for comfort, which wouldn't be good.

Jazz will not thrive. I don't know if they are academically sufficient or not, but they're definitely not socially capable or have any notion of responsibility (cleaning after one's self, respecting privacy, etc.) That's a huge part of moving away for the first time for a normal person, never mind someone who's been praised by millions for years and given all the attention in the world. We've all seen the temper tantrums, the unrealistic ideas of the world (dating and such). We've also all seen the stupid TikToks Jazz and fam think are cute and funny. Normal people don't.

I'm not rooting for Jazz to fail. I hope getting away is good for her. I just don't think she has the skills to do it, and really through no fault of her own.
