I am late to the party today... really, no matter how tired I get, I'm always more than a bit relieved when a stretch of busy days lead to a break from Chantal - I need the "reality orientation" as I find it too easy to get sucked into her 'surreality'. Not watched the vlog yet - later, so this deals with her supper time-ish stream or whatever it was - where she once again didn't cook for real.
A 'rational', calm, soft spoken Chantal, trying to portray a woman of sober judgement is a train wreck that's just been told she's 2 signals short of being shunted on to a siding leading to nowhere.
Let me get this out of the way - a reminder I live in her city & my family is lousy with first response & first response support of all types so I have a fairly good guess as to what went down with the po-po. She's already got a file with Ottawa Police as this is far from the first time they've been called. However many calls came in, (hints of a fair number from her), the complaints - driving high, distracted driving, at the very least, this was clearly deemed fairly serious & worthy of immediate follow up.
Like too many others, our police department is short funded & thus, short staffed yet they saw fit to send, not a volunteer constable but TWO uniformed officers. Not only that, someone took the time to view at least one of her videos - if not the police that showed but someone else who have would have provided them notes with pertinent points.
Yes, our police are polite but they're neither suckers nor wusses. A next visit with the same complaints will be a lot more 'firm', than friendly. The fact that they outlined possible charges AND fines, (she conveniently forgot other, nastier consequences), indicates she got a solid warning & a list of "Do Nots" from the officers.
She can try to be slick & make it sound like not filming herself driving so she's not distracted is he idea & the decision the result of reasoned thinking but this is Chantal - she's reactive, not proactive. Of COURSE she'll continue to drive semi-blotto but as others have pointed out, her only concern is not leaving a trail of evidence. This will last until the next time she's pissed off about something. In short - I give it 3-4 days... max.
And it wouldn't be Chantal if she didn't try to dissolve any responsibility for her actions. She talks, (in terms of people possibly reporting her again in future), of: "people waiting for mistakes". No... people are waiting, once again, for bad CHOICES on her part, that might endanger the lives of others.
The rest of her stream is typical Chantal but wrapped in a slightly prettier package. Not watched it yet but I'm surprised she posted even a short vlog - should be interesting watching, Her membership numbers have been weird this week, don't know what's up with that but her income is clearly taking a kick in the ass or... her spending on the essentials of pot & food has risen even more alarmingly than I figured.
Even her VIBs are getting more openly pissed off. I know some say they're running out current memberships & she makes it evident she knows that by casually, saying that monthly memberships pay her rent. Cute... & complete bullshit. She was paying her rent via YT years before she started memberships & her attempt at guilting members to continue paying her "rent" is transparent as all get out. But maybe there are 350 people stupid enough to keep paying in order to cover her 'rent'.. At the rate she's been getting demonetized lately, she'd better hustle out some more videos & maybe put some effort into OF.
I'll admit to having a quick look at the first 10 or so items of Hamberlard Raid's recap, (thank you!) & just those items make it clear she's willing to, at least temporarily, cater to what members have been begging her to produce for months in order to keep the crucial numbers, ($$$), flowing in the right direction.
As to her idiotic & coy plea for privacy - that ship sailed, sank & was consumed by rusticles long ago.
