Ever since Null tell released the email chain I've been wondering; what if Byuu paid Hector to keep the narrative of his suicide alive and blame KF in an attempt to force Null to delete his thread? He was offering $120k to Josh, lesser men would do a lot more than just delete a thread for that.

I don’t think the 120k to Josh was legitimate. I think it was yet another lie he was concocting to try and make the suicide story seem more legitimate. Since it sells the story better if he even offered 120 grand to the cyberbullies to take his thread down and they rejected it, so suicide was the only way forward.
I think Hector was just a useful idiot Byuu roped into this I highly doubt he paid him off to do this.

This is actually an interesting theory that has rarely been discussed. The idea that Byuu actually attempted suicide but survived and has since been in hiding mostly out of shame because he knows people would turn on him for not fessing up to it quicker. If I remember correctly one of his previous suicide attempts from a year or so ago was revealed to have failed by one of his friends on reddit.
This would actually explain why Hector is so zealous to defend Byuu despite the evidence. (Although it doesn’t explain why he thought the USA report would prove his death). And it would also explain why his family is so tight lipped on this and refuses to talk about it. It might also explain Wayne as being a Byuu alias who is trying to get people to stop talking about it by posting fake “Evidence” that he’s fabricated. This would also explain why Hector claims he spoke to police. It’s entirely possible he did actually speak to police and they just said he attempted suicide and survived.

The method he described would have worked unless he straight-up pussied out and didn't actually do it.
Hector has obviously lied repeatedly about the actual circumstances, but it's possible he stupidly believed the death had actually happened. Otherwise, why would he have been so confident about this State Department report that surprised nobody but utter idiots by not having Byuu's nonexistent death in it?
