As far as keeping CRT top of mind for parents to keep the Sleeping Giant rolling, I've been thinking about the best strategies. My best guess is that you need to help fortify your local school boards, especially if they're in small towns that are only doing what is mandated by their state/the education mill. Ask for a meeting with each board member and give them resources to show why CRT is asking for a lawsuit and how the school needs to be radically open about its curriculum with all parents. Explain that teachers hiding information from parents is being SUPPORTED by education "experts" and tell them they cannot adopt anything that looks like that. Tell them about the anti-CRT orgs that will have their back. That way you are informing the well-meaning members about what they're up against and being proactive about preventing policies from being put into place in the first place. Virginia has done this by local school boards just all of a sudden pretending they don't know what "transgender" means when the state board told them they have to address people by their pronouns. It just flat out doesn't matter what the state says because enough parents got involved on the local level that it was scarier for the members to face their neighbors than the governor's cronies. They just ignored the law entirely and played dumb to get around it. That's what you have to prep your reps to do when it comes time.

I won't go full /k/ rant but the difference is night and day. What the AK platform sacrifices in accuracy it makes up for by being so easy to use that it was literally designed so that any illiterate Soviet peasant could pick one up and know everything about it that same day. Plus the way it's designed makes it easier to work with if you're wearing gloves which I like. But AKs are notoriously simple to clean, when people remember to maintain them in the first place.

The US teaches M4s in a single day as well. As for maintenance, barrel swaps or parts repacements are piss easy for ARs while several AK parts are not compatible accross nations of origin and a barrel swap is a huge process that most nations using AKs will just condemn the rifle and get a new one, this isn't a big deal for a military but fora civilian gun owner that's a though and expensive call. ARs are easy with gloves as well. In fact the trigger guard can be folded down to help facilitate the use of gloves.
