The Australian totalitarian megathread - She won't be right mate.

Ok, so to add to the material on just how fucked Oz is, particularly NSW, I'm going to post a link to an Australian comedian that covers a lot of this stuff: FriendlyJordies

He's currently dealing with having the anti-terrorism squad (Fixated Persons Unit) sicked on him for making fun of a corrupt politician.
That was set off by this video for the most part:

Briefly covers John Barilaro's response here (John is the deputy premiere of NSW):

They've got plenty of other good stuff on their channel.

Really, really makes you think.

He doesn't want to get shot by the jackbooted commies, and he turned in his rifles.

At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if Australia takes some examples from Vietnam, and have armed troops on patrol to enforce the lockdowns. Or even worse, they either have rooftop snipers (which may or may not be of Korean ethnicity) placed strategically to 360 No Scope anyone that dares to step outside their house doors, or have automatic turrets installed to do the same.

It makes me think that even North Korea hasn't gone this draconian with the lockdowns, although they're probably in deeper doo doo at this point, with famines lurking, and poor health care meaning that the sick probably won't get treated at all.

Austrailians under lockdown are not allowed to go out to stores. Their food is delivered to them.

Lunacy.

i assume hes not havign food delivered because hes under lock down, but is instead supposed to be quarantining in his house so since he cant go to the super market hes getting food delivered to him

there are 5 reasons your allowed to leave your house

to purchase food
an hour of exercise
What is deemed essential work (which in practice is just whomever can get away with being open)
get a covid test
get a vaccine

How many hours of exercise do prisoners get a day?
hey im not excusing the policy

just that the people getting shit delivered to them are probably in quarantine because they went somewhere where someone had covid, as opposed to lockdown which is what everyone in the two largest states in the country are currently under.

if your in quarantine your forced to stay at home for 14 days plus have a negative test.

they were hunting some dude in sydney a few weeks ago who was just refusing to go into quarantine,

I heard that in Vietnam's current lockdowns, people aren't even allowed to leave their homes to get food at all. So it wouldn't be a surprise if Australia one day decided that going out to get food will result in getting your face full of hot lead.

Problem is I'm not too sure about other states but in NSW police can tell you to go home and quarantine for two weeks just for being somewhere they don't like.

Never going to happen. When I woke up from my night shift today I went for a 4 hour bike ride, stuck to bike trails (there's a shit ton of them) and stopped for a coffee and takeaway about 25km from my home. I barely wear a mask and I visit my extended family and friends whenever the fuck I feel like it. It's thanks to people like me that the Delta has been spreading so wildly. I don't think of myself as a hero exactly more a servant of the people.

The population of Victoria is 7 million and there are 21000 cops. A lot of those police will be manager's, pen pushers and bosses. But lets be generous and say there are 15K actual police on the streets of Victoria. That's one cop for every 470 people. Account for shift work and it's more like 1 for every 1000 at any given time. It's perfectly easy to ignore the retarded laws and lockdowns and the chance of being caught is about 0%.
