Popehat (Ken White) is a lawyer and an actually skilled one, who has done some rather excellent First Amendment work. Most of these people are utter morons, though, with no redeeming features whatsoever, who openly lie about basic legal principles. At least, I assume they're liars, because if they're telling what they believe to be the truth, I would be accusing them of professional incompetence, which would be per se defamatory.

But let's be honest. LawTwitter is not the legal community, it's a legal community, and it's a particularly shitty example of one. LawTwitter not respecting you is like ResetEra not respecting you. It matters jack and shit that a bunch of internet shut-ins hate you.

The comments section on Above the Law is more of a legal community than those morons, and it's absolute shit that makes 4chan look like amateurs at shitposting.

Cohen really doesn't obsess over this case much other than occasionally making a smug tweet about lololol piece of shit lololol. Because he's a lazy Jew who hasn't read anything else about the case.

If anything, it's good for Nick that they hate him. He literally makes money laughing at their impotent flailing on Twitter.

Cohen has actually corrected a couple of his cohort for making nonsensical legal statements. While I think this may have more to do with professional embarrassment than ethics per se, at least he has a degree of intellectual honesty usually lacking in these clowns. I don't think he can be considered a partisan in this case.

I don't think we should consider Ken White to be part of KV's LawTwitter. As far as I remember, he barely made any comments on this case, and probably hasn't think about it a single time since then. The whole thing was about Nick loosing his credibility to "the legal community". I'm pretty sure if you asked Ken White now what he thinks of Nick Rekieta, his answer would be "Who?"

If you hadn't forgotten that word than we couldn't quote or reply to it so there's that. I guess the workaround would be to select and copy text, then bracket it in quote BB Code.
