The narrative style was hard to follow. Sometimes it was a chronological history, then it was the backstory for a random kid, then an unrelated event. The "cult" in the title was just clickbait that he tried to backup by literally saying "it reminded me of this cult I heard about" when there was no connection between the two and they weren't even slightly similar. Really unfortunate considering the interesting subject matter.

I haven’t found a horror channel I genuinely like. I will see a topic someone covers, look it up, then deep dive myself. It’s far more entertaining to uncover it yourself. Closest thing I could think of is Whang, which is why I love his videoin style- “Hey, here’s some stuff about this obscure subject, take what I gave you and do whatever the fuck you want with it.”

Ballen is a little more like That Chapter . He's matter of fact with his delivery, presents it as a story, doesn't try to be all scary or cringey like Nexpo. Simple delivery, no speculation, a little charisma and he's a former seal. Less faggy than most on the list.

Yeah I really like the topics he explores but his weird cadence really ruins a lot of the script. Stop fucking pausing it doesn't build tension you just sound like a tard.

Has Debunk File been mentioned yet? Just found his stuff and it's pretty good background noise. Listened to it while working on my truck. His 4chan Deep Dives are alright, just covers the post, adds a bit, but not too much commentary, and brought up posts I never seen before.
If he has been brought up, give me some alarm clocks.

Not a horror channel but the illuminati did this topic more justice. I admittedly did not watch that youtuber's video but calling them a cult is a disservice to the victims who went through that horror show.
One thing lost on horror youtubers I've noticed is they need to learn that sometimes you don't need to try to make things spooky. Reality in of itself can be a horror show and all you need to do is just let the facts and the implications do the work for you.

I actually did watch Nexpo’s video, and the way he phrases “the cult” idea is very out of place and inappropriate. A lot of it is “This part is kinda cult like…” “it’s sorta kinda like this cult that has no ties to this school…”. A lot of Nexpo’s phrasing at the end of the video seemed disrespectful as well. While trying to make his video “scary cult” it just became disrespectful to the victims.

I can't stand Nexpo for the same reason. Dude adds 5 minutes of overall silence to his videos talking about a reddit post. Nigger it's reddit.
