I snatched a recording of Gary explaining what happened and posted it on the Comicsgate thread, dunno if it's still up (the video is behind a paywall now).

Supposedly, Jessy and Jeff busted into a private reserved room and Gary's wife told them to get out (of the private room, not the bar) Jessy stood up to her and Gary went nuts

I appreciated that. Gary's boring enough plus privating stuff means allot of his worst moments get missed.

I think they brought it up again in this stream? It was difficulty to understand.

Imagine how much damage these guys could do if they didn't whine about boobs and boobs alone. It's like they've become their own sjw parody. The adaptation will probably suck but bad writing, acting, directing, political insertions will decide that.
This is where channels like HvBF, Nerdrotic, EFAP, and GnG lose me when it comes to something like this and some upcoming MCU movies and other projects, is that making videos complaining about Faye in the Netflix show gives shitty click bait websites free reign to write articles about "toxic manbaby incel gamergaters who can't handle the fact that a real woman doesn't have FF cup tits". Just ignore this shit and it will die a death by irrelevance, which it can't do if you make a million clickbait videos about it for weeks before and after it's released.

It's not about 'doing damage', it's about making more videos and farming outrage clicks so they can get another ManScaped©️™️ ad sponsorship. They don't care about the media beyond the necessary amount to complain about it. It's a live action anime adaptation, which are without exception terrible, plus it's done by Netflix. You know it's going to be bad. They know it's going to be bad. Faye's tits have nothing to do with it.

That podcast with Jabba the Hut and Middle Aged Hobo is over 8 fucking hours long and yet, they don't say much about anything.

The Cowboy Bebop part, for example, gave no real arguments for the original look other than "it's sexy" and "that's how it used to be".
They could have touched upon how she uses her sex appeal to get ahead in life and exploit men but they didn't really do it.
They had nothing to refute the "it's hard to do stunts in it" with when they could mention the stuntwoman wearing a suit that looks like skin (which is what they routinely do for stunts when you want the hero to be shirtless or something).
Their best argument was from another person's video.
It's basically almost 30 minutes of wasted time.

Jabba the Hut is just a dumbass, he can talk forever but he says dumb things.
Both him and Hobo have this vindictive aura around them, like they'be been bullied in high school and they're fighting back against the bullies right now because the bullies also called them names for liking Captain America so they can look at someone like Rian Johnson and see Chad from 9th grade in him.
I get that these industry people are assholes who often hate fans but these particular fans are acting in the same exact way.
These Fandom Menace people are why studios and journos have somewhat of a point when talking about "toxic fandom".

"they hate the fans" is funny because the fans poke and poke and when someone gets angry and responds, the fans get offended and cry.
It's funny, because channels like TheQuartering and Geeks+Gamers have made a ton of videos this past week claiming that the CowboyBepop actress is insulting and bullying the fans. But when I looked into it, I couldn't find that she insulted anyone. The most I could find was a now deleted joke she made on Twitter about the boob criticism.

Even after all that activity yesterday, Southpaw can't let go of twitter and feels the need to address something interesting.

It's Southpaw meltdown season again.

EDIT: Talking about the Smud thing with Jay on the latest stream

its funny how all of these ''culture war fighters'' are suddenly concerned about the looks of Faye Valetnine and Cowboy Bebop, even tho none of them has any idea what that show is and none of them has ever watched it. In general, listening to them talk about anime/manga is just cringe, cause they have no idea what they are talking about, but hey, gotta keep talking about something controversial, so George can give you those $500 a week and tell you how awesome you are, for saying mcu, star wars, star trek, etc. is shit for the 200X time. And like people here have said, its a netflix anime adaptation. The chances of it being good are smaller than George spending less than $300 on his FNT boyfriends.

Never seen Cowboy Behop. Is it any good ? I have completely skipped the whole manga/anime trend. I do like Avatar the Airbender.

I feel bad for David Ayer. Its like the good kid being punished for the fuckup done by the other kid in the class.

Please avoid double posting and edit your posts instead. Cowboy Bebop is great and one of the golden standards of anime that anyone even if they're not into anime should give a watch.
Edit: Better wording

Efap reminds me of this scene from High Fidelity, especially when it comes to their "approved" movies list.
"A sly declaration of new classic status slipped into a list of old safe ones, very pussy." Is what I think when I see them put Parasite, The Lighthouse and Marriage Story next to Aliens, T2 and Jurassic Park. I'd call it reddit tier, but even the most basic bitch redditor list would include Taxi Driver, Army of Darkness, Blade Runner, The Crow, Robocop, and maybe Seven Samurai for some Kurosawa lip service.

Isn’t the whole joke of this scene is that Jack Black’s character is an unlikable elitist dickhole though? The other character flat out says, “You’re totally elitist, you feel like the unappreciated scholar, so you shit on people who know less than you.”
That being said, “Unappreciated Scholar” is a perfect description for how MauLer sees himself.

Except MauLer is John Cusack's character 'film knowledge' wise, but with the elitism of Jack Black's character

Not familiar with the guest
I checked his YT channel, he seems to be a pretentious aspiring filmmaker/film student, has less than 3k subs. His most popular video is an essay saying BvS is a masterpiece.

I checked the Stream and hes out already, I dunno what happened, Im guessing they either reached a stand still like Twin Perfect or he simply said his peace and left. I vaguely remember them talking about having someone on to defend the Snyder flicks because even the Snyder fans said TP sucked at defending MoS, I'm wondering if this is the guy.

Just took a peek and he's back in. I haven't really watched but checked every once in while.
I've noticed that this episode is in the low 2000 live viewers, a new low. Maybe Snyder fans are not biting anymore.

Rags keeping his word and has been uploading more videos, with two new ones out on his Dogbytes channel:

I'm curious as to why he uploads onto a second, lesser known channel than his main channel, which would be the smarter move (more views and potential ad revenue).
