At worst you die of dehydration as you shit and vomit to death. Ivermectin, like almost all medical drugs you can use on mammals, is going to be safeish to use on humans… in the proper dosage. However, horse and dog pastes aren’t designed for human consumption and as such the way the body absorbs it can be different - these are calibrated for dogs and horses, animals with different metabolism and digestive systems. Best case scenario, you’re not hurt, but you’ve done fucking nothing helpful to your body. Worst case, you poison yourself and die of dehydration in excruciating pain. Probably shitting blood as you go.

Hormonal drugs are far less likely to kill you on an overdose, but any medicine is a bad idea to take above recommended dosage from a medical professional.

These conspiracy theorists are responsible for putting unnecessary additional stress on not just healthcare workers but on other people too!

China manages to build new hospitals in the span of days. In the more cultured western society, though, we understand that shaming people is the only real solution for a healthcare crisis.

You are not wrong, probably... depends on what numbers you look at and which you decide to trust. On the other hand, if we allow people to damage their lungs with cigarettes, to indulge unhealthy eating habits, extreme sports, impacting their perceptional skills by use of drugs like alcohol and all other kind of avoidable risks, why is this different? All of the aforementioned pay their price either in the form of taxes to their governments and/or to their hospitals and health insurances. So do covid patients. It's not on them to use that money in a responsible manner after they gave it away.

That is exactly right. And forcefully dispersing pharmaceutical products among your citizens, from companies that have acted morally dubious in the past and you don't know the long term consequences of (like with the narcolepsy cases that resulted from the swine flu vaccines), is a very stupid thing that harms a lot of people. It is also very stupid to pressure people into making such health decisions.

What we do know works is the measurements we used before. Masks, social distancing, regular sanitizing, avoiding crowds, etc.. Not advocating to continue exactly like we did before, there probably are better ways to save the economy, too, but trying to remind folks that there was no real talk about blood clots either until there were blood clots. I think it's fair to remain skeptical.

On the other hand, I'm probably shitting up the thread here. Where I'm from the government is currently pushing to exclude unvaccinated from regular life as much as possible and that's sorta depressing to go through when you just wanna be left alone. So I'm thankful that I could vent a little here, but feel free to tell me to bugger off. I'll see if I can dig up some thread relevant content tomorrow, though

The problem is, the vaccine hasn't been out long enough as compared to others. There's also the fact that this whole situation is being lead by people who feel it's OK to lie because it's a Crisis and they're in power.
