Even if this isn't OiC, who is active in chat and talking about the names used, it's clear that someone is making socks specifically to hit the members goal and Phil isn't batting an eye at how obvious it is, or making any mention of it. I strongly suspect the lower 260 goal was designed to do this so that Phil wouldn't risk not running his Hallowe'en marathon, and that's a number close enough to where he was for one person to hit with socks.

The next goal is 285, I doubt it's a lock because that's a big jump in effort and Phil doesn't really care about letting people pick his costume since it's just the 'illusion of choice' anyway.

Dave also keeps using "infamous" in place of "famous". He's not the only person I've heard do it but, a lot of people don't know the fucking difference, he just said something like "The infamous street that winds back and forth"

I guess I'll jot this down for posterity... who knows if we'll hear about this again.
It was his cousin. Phil believes his name was Ritchie Jr. because his dad, Phil's uncle, was named Ritchie.

Phil last saw Ritchie Jr. at his uncle's 50th birthday (Phil wrongly stated it was his wedding anniversary at first, confusing people). Ritchie Jr. spent most of the time talking to Phil's 'wife'. He then corrected himself, and said it was his aunt. I suspect it was actually Phil's mom, since his mom and wife are interchangeable for reasons that require a therapist to unpack.
Phil spoke to Ritchie Jr. at this birthday. Phil was 12 or 13 at the time. He said Ritchie Jr. was a good guy, but he was into drugs and stuff, and apparently 'you can just tell' with those people. Ritchie Sr. hated his son because he was a druggy, and did not speak to him at the birthday. Phil for some reason felt it was funny that Ritchie Jr. came back for this party and then his dad wouldn't talk to him.

3 months later, Ritchie went down to Tijuana do 'do illicit things' as he had apparently been doing for some time without the family's knowledge. The border apparently called to say his body and ID had been recovered. Phil heavily insinuated the guy kind of had it coming because of his lifestyle.

Fans of Phil lore might notice there could be some overlap here with his cousin (Melissa, I believe?) who had drug problems, but who was eventually 'adopted' by Phil's parents and got clean. At last report, I think she became a counselor or something. People have speculated that Phil resents her, and further speculate that he fears she is going to get a cut of his inheritance. I'm not sure if Ritchie was connected to this girl or if it was some other branch of the family, but Phil looking down on people with drug problems fits the MO.

He also noted that his family had a falling out and his uncle 'moved to the other coast' and nobody heard from him again because he was so far away. This would be the coast that Phil currently lives on. Look him up, Phil. Maybe he and Kat's sister can come up for a little impromptu West coast reunion.
