I have a certain amount of empathy though for people who joined this shit over a decade ago and it was taken over by lunatics and now they're having to tiptoe around on eggshells to coddle spastic retards. It's a little different when the forum you're on is something you actually spent years building, and these jerkoffs basically hijacked it, stole it, and are now walking around like little tinpot hitlers fucking with everyone.

I just find them so utterly insufferable they piss me off even though, strictly speaking, they have absolutely no power over me personally. They just personify literally everything I hate about communities I used to like that have been wrecked by these absolutely worthless parasites.

Just finished reading this whole thread. You guys have done a great job capturing the essence of what a hypocritical clusterfuck rpg.net has become. I've watched them circling the drain for many years, but those turds just keep floating.

Speaking of hypocrisy... remember folks, Purity Tests (TM) are only okay when the mods do it to users for not agreeing hard enough to the Party Line.

That article is so far in tone from the 1d4 I used to know and love that I am honestly shocked. Clearly the socjus fuckwits that infest RPGnet have decided to turn everything pure and wonderful into shitty political spergfests.

1d4 should be for people making fun of games that are badly written, not judging games whose politics trigger folks. FATAL is a great example. An article poking fun at it for being a badly written fever dream created by a horny pervert is hilarious. An article criticizing it for for being sexist and misogynistic would just be tiresome horseshit.

This is the forum that coined the term "holdoing" because they believe that female mods (yes, even the trans ones) get greater pushback than male ones. Accusations against women are Not Allowed unless they first go against party dogma.

Obviously he's been lurking and knows the rules. What the actual fuck goes thru someone's mind to do this? The same mods who 10 years later keep banned penitent users who can't even remember their old username are whining on Tangency about the retributive US justice and felon disenfranchisement, yet are unable to apply their arguments to their own moderation policies.

They are not even consistent leftists who stick to their professed values, they are hypocritical tin-pot dictators.

Don't underestimate their ability to eat their own. Magpie Games is under fire for supporting frens of Zak, for example, so they might end up in the dead man's land between the trenches.
