Does the truth really matter to these fucking people? Let's be real

No way, guys, Wayne Becketts house is up for sale.
The h.jpg

Didn't Klepek always laud him for supposedly "gutting some super famicoms to take micrographies of the CPU to reverse engineer it and code the emulator from scratch based on that"?

It'd be so fucking funny if it turns out it was just stolen code.
If it indeed was, you'd have the original author coming out with those allegations, unless he's dead. And of course, keep in mind that different emulators will share some code for convenience.

I really want to know what Byuu would have done if Null said "yeah, I love money" and took it without a second thought. I want to know how that scenario was going to play out.
I'm leaning towards it being a genuine attempt at getting his thread deleted, not trying to entrap Null into extortion, because a month previous to this they recruited disgraced former moderator/traitor @CIA Nigger and had him delete byuu's thread, for which he paid the ultimate price.

I don't know why David suddenly because so fixated on erasing that thread, but it seems to be the endgoal here, not just some means to a different end.

It could be just the fact that he participated in it in a non-confrontational way, which would eventually become a reason to cancel him among the circles he's been moving in.

Likely was fucking up his search engine results for his name and/or* online handle. This matters because a future employer finding out about your weird fetishes can really fuck you over in the Asian development scene.

My best guess is that Byuu wanted an exit strategy in case Nintendo ended up following through with a C&D/suit on his emulator project, but still wanted to be able to post his online username and detail his experience on a resume. And if his request gets rejected, he can destroy the farms and get it taken down either way - in his mind, he was in a no-lose situation.

*edited because I totally forgot that David wasn't doxed in the original thread, so it would have just been his handles

I am still a fan of the theory that Byuu used stolen code in his emulator and this entire gayop was an attempt to make Nintendo think he was dead so they wouldn't sue him.

I wonder if anybody has shown Nintendo that US Gubbermint statistic yet.
Someone in this thread or the regular Byuu thread had pointed out that Japan actually has a pretty big and easy to access industry of businesses that "evaporate" you and set you up with a new identity and then work to keep your new location, name, job etc a secret. (edit: It seems like it might not be an entirely new identity, just hard to track if no one saw you leave because of privacy laws in the country)
Doing that for a foreign furry with an unfortunately recognizable ugly face might be too difficult for them legally, I'm not sure. This article talks about those businesses and the people who use them a bit and mentions that immigration and banks can't release your information in Japan ever and police don't investigate disappearances unless there was a crime (..and I believe suicide isn't..), so maybe it's interesting in finding out how he could still be alive and not be discovered (which would still means Hector is lying about the suicide and police confirming it, since they just ignore intentional disappearances not say "they're dead, hanging from a doorknob") if a foreigner on a work visa is in fact offered this service.
Though even if he did, if he was charged with a crime like property theft (for stolen code), his visa not being renewed or whatever else, Nintendo's lawyers could still find him through the police since they would be able to get the information out of the agency then.

English information on the details of this stuff seems somewhat sparse so maybe the posters who live in Japan can shed more light on the possibility of it and the restrictions he'd have and whether or not his USD $150,000 could make things happen.

Japanese companies that "disappear" battered wives wouldn't touch a foreigner with a bargepole.
They'd have to forge residence cards and even passports for a non Japanese person.

Plus, if on a visa, which he was, as he'd not been in the country long enough to apply for permanent residence or citizenship, he'd still need to register at immigration every time his visa expired, japanese immigration offices have holding cells in the building and he'd be locked the fuck up in minutes and deported soon after.

I believe that with one change.
Honestly Byuu is a crybaby pussy so I fully believed him when he said that he was upset about getting messages on Twitter all the time or his friends being dragged into it by association, and I think that's what would upset him more about search engines finding the thread when his handles were searched.
It just brings more eyes to information that he would rather they not see just in case they did decide to seek him out, or simply post where he goes and might see it, and say "lol byuus a furfag pedo" and he's read it and think about it all day.
He's emotionally fragile enough that I think that idea bothers him more than any employer finding it. How many degenerate coders [all coders] still get jobs just because of their skillset after all? Plenty more than someone looking for a public facing, PR type jobs.

Like Dyn said the fixation on deleting the thread was probably the end of it. He didn't like lying awake at night with tears in his eyes thinking people were reading unflattering things about him, which I'm sure he did often.

IIRC Null even tried pointing out to Byuu in the emails that the information in the thread was largely tame so he didn't get the obsession, and he said something along the lines of "I know but I can't help it I'm just weak like that I guess I just don't like it" didn't he?
Mommy, they call me names, I want to kill myself.

Do they get forged cards though?
The business is entirely legal in Japan from what I read, so forging information for even native Japanese would make the business illegal and they wouldn't be allowed to publicly operate, as they do.
As I understand it your old identity isn't erased, you just go through intermediaries and get legal changes done and privacy laws are such that you can still use your information without it being flagged like someone who goes missing in the US being found by ATM withdraws.
The disappearing seems less like assuming a forged identity than it is just leaving when no one saw you and having the company and laws help conceal your action.
Immigration would still know him as David Kirk Ginder and he'd still have his responsibilities there and risk of deportation if he fails them. But they couldn't tell Nintendo if they came asking where he is or even if he's still in the country. Or the police unless a crime is being investigated.
It isn't used to escape the government at large, just make you hard to trace for anyone not exempt from the privacy protection laws.

How are people here still trying to play devils advocate? You don’t sound skeptical or clever, you sound retarded. Per byuu’s own words he would have his passport and info released. I don’t think he ever expected his extortion attempt to fail. At first I really did think it was a desperate loser pleading, now it seems like his intentions were always sinister.
Did Hector ever acknowledge why the dox wasn't released? Byuu could've easily scheduled an email delivery for Null. There would've been two self-destructive acts, with the first one leading to evidence of his suicide, and he was too chickenshit to perform the first and infinitely more benign step. He's clearly somewhere where he'd still be vulnerable to the repercussions of his dox.. AKA in existence.

It wouldn't be terribly difficult for Byuu to continue working in Japan, to be frank.

When examining Wayne Beckett's company, they pretty much specialize in jailbreaking consoles, creating cheap chinese rip offs, creating cheats and hacks for already existing games, etc. For Byuu, he could easily continue to work for them remotely, and if Wayne Beckett is in on the sham, which he likely is, that makes the farce that much easier.

Now, when it comes to bank accounts, the two aspects which could support the notion that he is still alive and don't throw a wrench in things are

a) people disappear all the time in the world, banks may not be entirely up to date on their client's activity, status, if theyre even alive, etc (if the government has people who are dead and still voting, how likely is it that a bank would check to see if every person with an account is necessarily dead? After a set amount of inactivity maybe, but I can't see an investigation into a client's bank account without reason).

b) Byuu could possibly be using another bank account registered outside of Japan, like a HK one, to get and receive pay. He could be using online banking apps to convert money to the yen and pay with things that way. In Japan, SK, Taiwan, and China, even in pubs, people will pay with smart phone apps, so it wouldn't be too farfetched. The guy was also discussing crypto with null and how to evade taxes, so its not a stretch to assume that he could come up with some scheme to avoid Japanese bank scrutiny, if he would ever even need to go that far.

So we have one possibility that he is still working for Wayne Beckett just cracking games for their website, or otherwise working on Chinese rip off consoles remotely in an apartment, and either banks don't know about and probably dont care enough to look into the suicide, or he's just using a different bank account from another nation to manage his finances.

On the visa thing, my best guess is that he likely won't renew it and will probably fuck off to some other corner of the globe when its up. Programming circles involved in hacking game consoles seem to exist in a small community, so it wouldn't surprise me to know that he could potentially talk to a friend of a friend to get a job after this debacle on the down low.

It's an easy mistake to make: they're coming into this from the wrong mindset.

They're coming into this assuming that "Byuu was murdered to death by Kiwi Farms" is the 'truth' (as all of the Twitter talking heads would like everyone to believe) that needs to be proven false. So they think Byuu not appearing in the US government reportings is just that; a technicality that allows us to flip the premise.

Whereas most of us here are looking at this the correct way: there was never any solid proof that Byuu was dead from the start, and this whole thing has been a clown show.
  1. As you mentioned, Byuu promised that he'd dox himself and release his passport as a dead-man-switch. That never eventuated.
  2. For the first few days the only proof we had that he was even dead was Hector Martin posting some anonymous drivel about some faggot listening to French music while Byuu snuffed himself. There was no official declaration of death. No death certificate to be seen. No public statement from the police or Byuu's family. "Yeah of course not, Japan is a very private country" they said.
  3. Because Japan is a very private country, Hector Martin was able to call up the officers in charge and confirm personally that Byuu was dead. But that's just because Hector is awesome like that. The Japanese police won't give anyone else the time of day, so don't bother calling them and just take Hector's word for it. Ignore the suspicious fact that both of the only pieces of 'evidence' so far have originated from Hector himself.
  4. @Wayne Beckett then enters the stage. And my! Wayne was so aghast that us monsters were doubting that Byuu killed himself, that he signed up for the Kiwi Farms to personally tell us bullies that we murdered Byuu. And that Wayne also confirmed it with police. And that he also has a photo of Byuu's corpse but he totally won't share it with us. At one point a little later Wayne shares a picture of a cheap Alibaba urn with Byuu's name on it and verbatim congratulates us for murdering his friend.
  5. At this point the hit pieces are starting to come out. But they're all linking back to Hector's Twitter messages. Nobody seems to be able to confirm the death with anyone of authority.
  6. Then the USA Today article comes out and 'confirms' it for us all. And they confirm it by citing Hector Martin and a conversation with one @Wayne Beckett. Smart cookies at home will notice that so far everything has originated with one of these two clowns, and the USA Today article is no exception. Yep, these 'real journalists' who do real journalism basically just asked the M1 Linux guy and one of Byuu's 'former employers' to confirm the death. No mention of Byuu's family or actual friends, who have been fucking radio silent this entire time. No mention of confirming it with police or actual authorities.
  7. After that, nothing for a while. Everyone moves on: Twitter discovers the next new thing to be outraged about, and us Kiwis discover that a hamster-boiling bitch has talked OPL into fucking his own mother. We still maintain that Byuu hasn't killed himself though, and for the entire months of July and August, Hector has been jerking himself raw to the idea of us getting dabbed on "when the US Government report comes out". And then it does and... no sign of Byuu anywhere. Hector had been salivating at the thought of getting a dunk for 60 straight days, but now that the report's out he "can't be fucked dealing with us anymore" and shuts off his Twitter.
  8. <-- You are here.
Looking at it the second, correct way, you see that this US government report is just the latest in a long series of embarrassing gaffes. We haven't proven that Byuu is alive, because that was never our burden. Instead, they have (repeatedly) failed to prove that Byuu is dead.

@Buffle Dag you black nigger.

yeah, sure, feel free to wait 6 whole ass months if it lets you ignore the fact that Byuu didn’t renounce his citizenship and “died” the 27th. When a suicide was reported the 28th.

this applies to all people trying to “look at both sides” here. It’s like trying to look at PETA’s side and Anti-PETA’s side, you look retarded doing it because one is correct and the other is anything but.

Possibly because this was the one place where all info on him was pulled together (rather than being spread across many sources) in the hope that he could continue using the Byuu/Near name, and when that failed he went to the last resort option of 'killing himself' off and starting fresh? Idk. What you're saying def sounds plausible, though I also wouldn't completely rule out the extortion thing

@DiscoRodeo
What Japanese bank scrutiny? If he's still alive and hector lied about the suicide like the evidence points to, the bank has nothing to look into. Byuu would be using the account as normal, he has no need to use banks from other countries or be sneaky about it. He's still a protected customer, they won't expose him. Japanese banks won't release his information to just anyone who calls.

He would only need a non-Japanese one if the assumption is that he's actually trying to fake his death to the Japanese government and not just people online.
Japanese banks, the government, his japanese employer, immigration know he's alive and treat him as he's still alive.
Only Hector and the people who believe him would "care enough to look into his suicide" because a suicide was never reported to anyone else.

Did I miss something where we're now under the assumption that Byuu is trying to fraud the government and not just make the internet think he's dead because the Japanese government and businesses won't breach the privacy laws of a living productive legal man if the internet asks?

There's a lot in this thread to indicate that the suicide is fake and that the "evidence" for it is laughable. But still there are reasons to believe it's real I can't dismiss so easily:
  1. Near's emails to Null sounded genuine. Sure maybe it was all part of a gayop, but if so it was a convincing imitation of a psychological breakdown. Blaming the Farms is silly, but people falling apart often mentally pin their problems on some external factor.
  2. Hector has staked his reputation on this. If Near turns up alive, his credibility is destroyed. Saying someone killed himself who didn't is really scummy. So Hector probably at least believes he's dead even if he's lying about details.
  3. It's not so easy to fake your death, especially now that Near's name and face are in the news. He needs to live somewhere and have money for rent. He has to decide which friends/family to trust, and which to never contact. Does he even have it together enough to plan all this?
