Still think it is dumb to differentiate between contraceptive and emergency contraceptive because why would someone opt for regular contraceptive when their is something "better" and can be taken orally. Because, due to the fucked up way California runs elections ("the jungle" method, which 99% allows the Democrats to wholesale block Republicans from even showing up on the ballot and making it a choice between two Democrats), Republicans have a far fucking better chance to win an election via recall elections simply because Democrats can't juke the system to keep them off the ballot.
And Newsome is THAT fucking unpopular, as is the Democrats in general and the recalling of Newsome gives the masses, especially those not in the helltropolis cities of LA, San Fran, etc the chance to fuck the Democrats up big time by allowing them a chance to circumvent the rigged system that keeps them disenfranchised and elect a Republican governor.
If a Republican gets installed, he can issue executive orders nuking from orbit a LOT of the shit that the Democrats have passed in the state and in the case of Feinstein, if she really IS bad off and has been hiding her medical condition to cling to power until the very moment she passes away, then it means he can nominate a Republican to her seat no questions asked and as such remove the Biden Senate majority (which is 50-50 plus Kamala as the tie-breaker), meaning McConnell once again runs the Senate and can fuck with Biden and company to his heart's content, especially in regards to any supreme court nominations if one of the liberal judges drops dead.

The difference is entirely in usage. Plan B is only effective before the egg drops from the ovary. Humans have hard to detect ovulation, there are a lot of hints that can help but not a for sure sign(temperature, mucous consistency, timing from last menstruation). A majority of the time, contraception isn't even needed cause there isn't an egg in the woman for the sperm to get to. The problem comes in it's hard to know when that time is, and this problem works in reverse for those trying to get pregnant.
Plan B isn't suggested for regular contraceptive for this reason. The main function of it is to prevent the release of the egg. The effective way to do this is to take it the three weeks out of a month you're not mensurating to catch any time it could possibly drop. Taking the same drugs as Plan B is hoping to catch ovulation before it happens, but if the egg has already dropped, it had essentially no function(other than a minor side effect that could prevent implantation, but not in any regular way to be effective).
The problem, and my own original spedding out at you in this thread detour, it's to prevent stupid thots from treating this as contraception(as they are trying to popularize abortion as a contraceptive rather than it being a poor option after it's failed) instead of getting on something much more effective.

That party lean is actually fairly representative of California's breakdown, 45-50% of the state are registered Dems with the rest equally split between Republicans and Independents so you cannot take them to task on that front.The issue rather lies (again) in the model being used. Likely voter model at this stage? Immediately subtract a few points because they're targeting a bunch who probably won't even vote in the first place. Doubly so because guaranteed they're predominantly getting calls from San Fransisco/Los Angeles/San Diego since accurate regional sampling costs time and money mainstream pollsters don't want to spend - which is important considering eastern Cali is what's driving this recall. Cannot discount that 4% undecided and 3% MOE either, things you'll note which could put Newsom a point or two underwater.
Also finally Trafalgar have a history of chaotic polling. They have put out some wild numbers over the years, only a few of which ever reflected reality. Hard to judge them too hard though when all their competitors are doing the same:
