Well, for one, he literally told people to not wear masks or socially distance, he threw a temper tantrum about the lockdowns, and his rallies were essentially superspreader events. When scientists disagreed with him on stuff, he told his cult to not trust said scientists. He could come out and encourage people to get vaccinated in a PSA, but he won't because he said to get the vaccine at one of his superspreader rallies and started to get booed, but he's such a pussy that he then backtracked.

The vaccine was shit when it was Trump's, then it became solid gold when it was Biden's. I seem to recall that Nancy Pelosi went to China Town unmasked to say "Chinese people are not a virus" in the most politically opportunistic way possible. They played Covid up like a red herring for racism & pretended it didn't exist then 180'd on their position once Trump was out of office with totalitarian lockdowns.
The vaccine was, and still is, the companies that made them. Trump did a great thing in Operation Warp Speed, but he isn't doing much now to encourage people to get vaccinated. Biden has tried his best and done everything he can to get people vaccinated.
And how about the vaccine lockdowns, in which civilians were expected to give up their jobs, businesses, their places of worship & amenities while politicians ignored their own mandates? No masks, lockdowns or sacrifices for them or their friends & businesses of choice.
What about vaccine passports & app tracking in places like France & Australia?

Yeah, evolution is not magic, that is right. Mutations occur randomly, but they are then filtered through how well they are suited for their environment (among other things). And if there really is a 12-35% chance of the vaccines failing, as was stated in this thread before, it looks to me that getting one of these those might actually contribute more to the problem than it helps? As for the other point, I never said I wasn't afraid of Covid. But that doesn't mean I jump to the first available 'solution' that is sold to me. I'm not that afraid.
I know pharmaceutical companies can be evil. However, you also forget about FDA approval and things like that. The scientists behind the shots and doctors all got vaccinated. What do you know about these that they don't know? You still didn't answer that. Why are you so worried about it when hundreds of millions of people have gotten them world-wide and been totally fine, including people who know more about these things in their little toe than all of Kiwi Farms combined.
What do you expect me to say? I don't have the education a doctor (any doctor) has. I'm just cautious, the things I know and learned here so far justified being cautious to me and I'd like to remain cautious until I've seen for myself that there are no dangerous side effects later down the line, so when enough time passed.
By the way, "scientists and doctors have gotten the vaccine" is not really a good argument when all of these terms have very broad meanings. Not only are there over twenty different vaccines with a bunch more being developed but marine biologists and dentists are as much scientists and doctors as the here probably more relevant virologists and microbiologists.
Well, you're the one who seems to know something those doctors and scientists don't know. The docs and scientists said that covid itself is way, way, way more dangerous than the vaccine. And by scientists I meant ones who research viruses and vaccines, which should've been obvious.
And again, no vaccine has ever shown side effects that far down the line. I believe the longest is generally 2 months. It's been a year and a half since trials began and nothing like that has happened.
