Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I think the admin didn't collapse due to media carrying the water and the talking points being disseminated to party faithful that "It was Orange Man's fault for agreeing in the first place!!!" (ignoring the fact that Trump's plan was clearly laid out and had strict conditions for the Taliban, backed up by his willingness to use US firepower).

However, I do think it has affected the national sentiment ever so slightly like all the other bs that has happened in the last few months, and has made people a bit more pessimistic. You're right that people likely won't remember things specifically, but national mood and a underlying frustration is something quite powerful I think. If Dems are on the defensive instead of 'Ridin with Biden', then there is clearly some uncertainty in their faith in Biden, which may trickle down down to things like voter turnout and motivation.

If Biden doesn't pull any wins (no infrastructure bill, market correction), then people won't feel confident in the Democrats, allowing some of the support from the peripheral members and normies to flake off.

Because Afghanistan is a segregated society, gender wise. They wanted to integrate the society to weaken the hold of fundamentalist Islamic values. It was an ass backwards approach, because stringent gender roles typically are present in impoverished societies, because work has to be strictly delineated.

If the US developed the rare Earth minerals and literally anything else to try and remove the majority of Afghans from poverty, it would have basically eroded gender roles. But because the country remained in poverty and these roles were forced by an outside actor, they never stuck. In fact, the whole mission in Afghanistan was basically half-assed to begin with. We invaded and then just sort of...stayed. For no real particular reason. We didn't do much, if any, nation building besides propping up a corrupt government with inept troops. We half-assed tried integrating women into politics, which basically lead to revolts. We didn't teach, enrich or educate the populace to make their lives better.

The entire operation was a grift to enrich defense contractors and corrupt military and government officials, along with the so-called Afghan government. The Afghan war is an incredibly shameful endeavor, only used to make billionaires more money and spill American blood for nothing. And no one will be held accountable, because no one ever is. Its why people are trolling 'rooting' for the Taliban to slap neo-liberals in the face with their abject failure. It isn't to support the Taliban, its to embarrass the government on a failed, two-decade policy of corruption and ineptitude.

I saw a comment on YouTube that was (jokingly) saying Biden's 80 million came from them doubling every legitimate vote from them + the dead.

I refuse to believe even 40 million unironically, legitimately voted for this retard that didn't even campaign. I cannot believe 40 million people have twitter levels of TDS.

Personally, I believe it. There are just enough sheeple in any society that believes unironically what the telly box tells them, and the mass media has been selling an absurd amount of DRUMPF BAD BIDEN GOOD in the runup to the 2020 election, along with the promise that once Orange Man got voted out, they can get their lives back.

Well, we all know what happened to the last part of that promise. Which is why I think Biden isn't going to survive this, both in the midterms and his re-election (lol).

Petraus was decent in Iraq. He actually had a counter-insurgency manual written and nobody in the Army bothered to read it, our heroes instead choosing to abuse prescription medication and to ultimately lose the war.

Of course, he decided to start banging various young female journalists and trading them secrets in exchange for that strange so he had to go.

There's only two reasons I can think of why they would actively seek to fuck over getting people out of there. A deal with the Taliban and or not wanting to be publicly embarrassed by somebody who escaped their incompetent death trap.

It's insane how this is going on behind the american peoples back. Feels like a ticking time bomb waiting to go off.

Regarding the Afghan womens special forces. It would make sense for a segregated society to have women who can basically interact with other women.

A group of men roll into a village pull someones wife/daughter aside to "talk" yeah thats gonna go real well. have some armed women pull the village women aside to "talk" and they might.

Also when you think about our national building, It makes sense that we just wanted a toady, being what ever goverment we supported would be weak as fuck because if we allowed men with vision and strength to come to power they might not go along with what we want.

I was really pissed the Afghan present took the money and ran. But after reading about biden calling him and saying hey things are looking bad you need to make things sounds better even if their bad. The Afghan president makes a case needing airsuport, and what ever bidens response/attitude it clearly put him off and he took the money and ran, and as I think about it I would do the same.

As for women, This stupid sci fi author I like made this argument that kinda sticks with me. Whats done more for women? a religion an ideology? Or the inventions of birth control, the washing machine and the vacuum cleaner.

Removed as in Article 25th'd or impeached, never. Literally the only thing that would make Democrats remove him is him slipping up and saying the gamer word on television. Openly removing him from office while he's still dubiously alert and alive is too much of a loss of face for the Democrats, he's going to die in office and when he starts deteriorating to the point where he can't go out without being a dementia patient so obvious even the most hardened blueshills can't deny it he'll just no longer make public appearances until he does.
