Fat Acceptance Movement / Fat Girlcows

@Iusedtobeacat I can't quote you, but to my eye that woman looks pretty tall. April is barely 5 feet. An inch or two can make weight sit very differently on women. I'm reminded of when Chantal publicly shit on FatByJen for being "twice her size" but when broken down, Chins weighed 400 at 5'1" (her recorded weight at the time) while Jen weighed about 600 at 5'8", so Chins was actually more obese than Jen from a BMI perspective.

But anyway what I really came here to say: the funniest thing about Marissa is that she's 26 yet dances like a recently-divorced 50 year old aunt at a wedding.
This was Anna O'Brienat 5'9 and317 lbs.

Looks simiar to the other tall girl.

April has a new video. Incredibly boring I can’t be bothered recapping but basically her and her husband are still having fertility issues but she did think she was pregnant a few months ago (false alarm). She won’t show herself on the scale because she only weighs in naked and and you can see her reflection. She won’t start running yet until she’s lighter. She won’t get weight loss surgery but she would consider lipo. She will 100% be getting skin removal surgery and a boob job.

Refusing to show the scale is such bullshit, and should let you know to just disregard anything she has to say. I can't believe anyone would follow her based on that alone.

Buy a lightweight nightgown or whatever and use that for every weigh-in, duh. If it makes her feel better she could even weigh herself naked later and let everyone know, "Actually, I'm 303.2, not 303.8!" But, she won't cause she's a fucking liar.

Or you know, just crop the picture / video so it only shows the numbers.
I'm finishing the video right now, and it's so much bullshit. One minute, she's saying she feels invisible while fat, the other that she feels "great and the best she's ever been".

She admits more or less admits to binging chocolate in her editing. "Currently, I aim for 2.3k calories per day". It seems like quite a lot considering she's 5'2. From what I've seen through a quick Google search, a 5'2 woman has to eat 2K calories to maintain her weight, and 1.5k if she wants to lose. If April says she's "aiming" for 2.3k, you know she's eating way more than that.

What also bothered me a bit is that - her husband's in the video asking the questions, right? But April alone answers all the "how many kids you want", "fertility struggles" etc. questions. So now I actually wonder what her husband thinks? Imagine spending over an hour recording your fat wife saying how good she looks and how soonTM you'll definitely have a family when you get the "behind the scenes" view of her binging her ass off and barely trying.

If she's eating 2300 calories per day, I think she's probably vastly overestimating how many calories are burned by her "workouts". I think this is a pretty common mistake for novices to make, and it's at least part of the genesis of the saying, "You can't outrun a bad diet."

Any experts want to weigh in? 2300 seems quite high to me.

But anyway what I really came here to say: the funniest thing about Marissa is that she's 26 yet dances like a recently-divorced 50 year old aunt at a wedding.
Her damcing reminds me of that Molly Shannon character on SNL; the one who is constantly yelling, "I'M 50! 50 YEARS OLD!!!!" while showing off her dance moves.

Nothing April posts is accurate. Not her weight loss numbers, not her calorie intake, not her moods, not her diet etc. She's eating at least 3K calories every day. It's not easy to maintain 300lbs, even at her height, but here she is.

The woman having a Livestream is horrifying. I only managed to watch the first minutes of her stream, and I've seen enough.
Aw damn, you found Lizzo if her music career didn't take off.

It's fairly difficult to wipe your ass when you're that size. Adding hideously long fake nails to the mix doesn't make it any easier. Now enjoy your mental image of neon green acrylics with shit caked under them.

This is why fatties can not lose weight just by working out. They can't do the HIT workouts that can burn a 150 calories in 8 minutes (while making healthy people feel like dying). And they easily re-eat what little calories they burned walking.

PL but FWIW I'm 5'2 and in my experience at 2k you still gain if you're not involved in a lot of physical activity daily. April has no idea how few calories she actually needs at her height. Of course, IF she could manage to eat 2k cals a day she would drop weight like crazy so it would be a great target for her right now. But she won't.

Doesn't this depend a lot on starting weight? It's not just a matter of height, is it?

It's pretty irresponsible of April to try and conceive at such a heavy weight. She can't even commit to walking her dogs a healthy distance, can you imagine her trying to keep up with a child/provide the physical stimulation and exhaustive play they'd want/need?

It's a huge red flag that she can't/won't lose the weight but insists on TTC. Why would her husband even want to do this after she displays lack of commitment, self-control and introspection time after time? If he wasn't a holy roller, I'd venture to believe he was just going to hit the road once the baby comes. 🌈 at least he could be an active, healthy parent around for years to come, setting a good example for a child [in terms of health, at the very least.]

I think a child would cause a massive rift between them. For the sake of the [potential] child, ugly as this feels to type, I hope they never successfully conceive.

(I'm not sure if I'm interpreting your question correctly so apologies in advance if I didn't.)
I don't think starting weight matters that much. There's a certain basic amount of calories you need to take in at a certain height to maintain a normal and healthy weight and I don't think it varies that much, especially in mostly sedentary people. In my country the national health propaganda and every packaged foodstuff states that 'the average woman needs 2K calories daily' to maintain a healthy weight, but the 'average woman' used in the census here is 5'6/5'7. If you're shorter than that, you have to adjust your intake or you will steadily gain weight because you're still overeating.

If April really wants maintain a healthy weight for a 5'2 mostly sedentary woman, she's in for a rough awakening because she will have to cut back a lot to get there, even more than the 'average' woman who is likely taller and perhaps more active than April. Of course she could settle for being a smallfat but she doesn't seem capable of even reaching that.

What's funny to me is that April isn't considering WLS but she might consider Liposuction. This is going to get science-y so be warned but I still think it's relevant to anyone reading this thread while considering liposuction, As you might all know, weight loss has been shown to improve people's health, lower their inflammation, prolong longevity, etc.. However, weight loss from Liposuction has shown no such benefits, this is because most of weight loss that occurs naturally whether through WLS or CICO AKA (diet and exercise) has shown a decrease in visceral fat.

Visceral fat is the type of fat surrounding our internal organs, and this is the primary cause of health issues. Your body is smart enough to be able to shed the visceral fat first whenever you lose weight, thus lowering your risk of health issues. However, Liposuction only removes the subcutaneous fat which is the fat directly underneath your skin. So, in conclusion you might look better but your health is still shit.

If you aim for health it is better to diet and exercise, your body is smarter than you. If you only care about looks then go for liposuction.

Also, most people gain the weight post liposuction back anyway, because they never adhered to any lifestyle changes to begin with. That money is better spent on healthier food and a personal trainer, but if someone wants to go the Hollywood route of things, then more power to them I guess.

Some of these fatties will do crazy hard HIT workouts, because they think that it burns hundreds of calories. They don't understand that weight loss comes from healthy eating.

Fatties would feel filled up if they ate more fiber, healthy fats and protein. They know nothing about basic nutrition. Most of them have some kind of damaged relationship with food. These fatties need to see both a nutritionist and a therapist. You can't out run the fork and they are putting themselves in danger doing these workouts. The body was not made to have 300 extra pounds on it. Aprils joints must be killing her.

Current weight matters. The bigger you are the more you can eat and just maintain or lose weight because it requires more calories to maintain a higher body mass. At 5'2, 300 LBS she needs 2100 calories to maintain her weight with no exercise. Daily activity, even in her sedentary state, should bring her at about 2500-2800 calories burned per day. 2300 calories is a good deficit for sustainable weight loss. Too bad she's not actually doing it.

These tiny amounts of weight she's "losing" isn't even weight loss... it's just normal weight fluctuations. Even on a normal size person a pound up or down during the week is totally normal as we digest food and retain fluid.

April is a lying, liar who lies. There's no way in hell someone who is claiming to do any of the work she's doing is just maintaining at 300 lbs. Maintaining at that high of a weight is hard to do outside of constant intake and binging. She's only 30 lbs lighter, (but an inch shorter) than Chantal and we see how much Chantal eats to maintain her weight.
