Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Place your bets now on what the six prongs of Biden's covid plan being announced tomorrow will be.

The announcement that he would be making a speech about his six-pronged plan came hours after Gallup polling showed that fewer Americans than ever believe that Joe Biden has a coherent plan to deal with covid. So expect this to be handled with the level of planning and consideration of all reasonable options that we have come to expect from this administration.

He’s going to try and do national lockdown for the rest of the year because he’s delusional thinking that the lockdowns could lower the number of cases like last year.

At least one of them will involve giving the IRS full access to everyone's bank accounts:
Currently, banks are only required to report deposits of $10,000 or more, however, the proposal would require banks and other financial institutions to report to the IRS on the deposits and withdrawals of all business and personal accounts with a balance of more than $600.

Baris's Labor Day polling.

In a hypothetical rematch in 2024,

Trump 44%
Biden 40.5%
Other party 11%
Undecided: 4.5%

He said he would win in a landslide, winning NV, MN, and NH + 2016 while Biden struggles to hold 25% of his 2020 votes.

He also indicates this is more predictive because people have already decided on Trump with strong opinions om him.

1. Free Money
2. Mandatory Vax
3. Mandatory Mask
4. Bullshit about college debt that will get shot down
5. Bullshit about rent that has already been shot down
6. Chocolate Chocolate Chip

I feel like a lockdown is impossible to implement now without completely toppling the house of cards. Why would we need a lockdown if the vax works?

You could possibly replace 5 with bullshit about infrastructure or hospital support.

My kingdom for a Horrifying rating, holy shit. This'll just seal the deal on the fact that we live in a dystopia.

Not enough rainbows in the world, Baris.

Good luck with another lockdown. This past weekend was football opening season for college and the NFL starts this Thursday. The stadiums were full of real (gasp!) people in the stands and very few masks. Even the Rose Bowl in Pasadena was full. No way is anyone going to put up with a lockdown anymore. It would be political suicide to suggest it.

Thus I fully expect Biden to do just that.

Apparently the show writer for Netflix’s One Piece series compared Luffy to Kamala.

Nerd culture really needs a Heaven’s Gate right now.
>Escaped capture by the Marines many times
>Entered a clearly biased judiciary office that answers to a corrupt government, punched the shit out of the glowies that worked there, and fled with the accused
>Punch a powerful entity, warranting the Marine Admiral to come over and kick your ass... but you survive
>Enter into the most secure prison of the world, escape it alongside thousands of dangerous criminals

Luffy would totally be a criminal in the eyes of the Biden Administration. If he pulled a January 6, which he did on the Enies Lobby arc, he would be vilified by all journalists, democrats, lefties, and stupid teenagers.

I'm not kidding when I say I lost sleep over that news.
“The new reporting requirements would raise questions about customers’ right to privacy, create unnecessary and expensive burdens for banks and raise the cost of tax preparation for small businesses,” [Kansas Bankers Association] President & CEO Doug Wareham said in a statement. “While all banks would be affected, small community banks with limited internal resources will be especially burdened by this new requirement. The new requirements will require a massive and expensive compliance effort to track and report inflows and outflows on all bank products.”
The ostensible reason for the proposal is to close the so-called “tax gap” wherein the government claims it is collecting around $500 to $600 billion less in taxes than is actually owed. However, ICBA notes that adding more data to the equation won’t actually fix anything. “The IRS already collects more data than it can process, including data reported under the Foreign Accounts Tax Compliance Act (FATCA),” their datasheet reads. “The IRS should begin by making better use of this data."
Ah, fucking over small businesses/banks while mildly inconveniencing the big boys at worst. Also, claiming to have a solution to fix a problem, but said solution does not fix the problem, and in fact, makes it worse. So, business as usual for the Biden administration. *sigh*
