I try not to shill on this forum cuz I have a surprising amount of trust and strict adherence to the idea that torturing retards is for fun and not profit, but: 1) the affiliate deal with this VPN is really good, and 2) I use it literally all the time and it's never let me down once which I feel deserves accolades. I found out about this shit through DeagleDad420 who told me about it right before I left America. I'm going to explain why this fucking thing is so amazing.

1. Stop ISP throttling
I live in the 3rd world now, which has its pros and cons. If you've ever heard about Net Neutrality, you should know that American ISPs are vying to make it so that they can legally accelerate and throttle traffic to different websites. PLDT already does this. Facebook hates Google and has amazing influence in the 3rd world, so when I want to open YouTube or Google.com, it takes over a minute because Facebook wants you to use FB Videos and Bing I guess.

By using my VPN, all traffic goes through their servers and then hits Google. PLDT is none the wiser to what I'm doing, as it's just some random computer in Hong Kong, and my Googles loads up instafast as it should.

2. Spoof Geolocation
PIA has a bunch of countries you can use an IP from. Checkit: http://i.imgur.com/yuwQcgS.png

This is great for getting around website geolocation barriers or spoofing flags on 8chan.

I use the fuck out of this to watch Netflix. Google also doesn't let me register Google Voice numbers unless I'm within the US. In like 5 seconds I can be back in Florida.

3. Evade bans and stalk the kiwifarms for years after it's been made clear you're not welcome
:---DDDD

In general, hiding your IP is never a bad thing. One of the major upsides is that nobody can denial of service attack your router if you happen to have a high enough profile. There's been instances of people successfully getting dox from social engineering and an IP, but those are very few and far between.

Keep in mind that PIA works on a system level and is not just a web proxy. It handles everything your Internet does online and will mask your IRC activity, Skype, or whatever else you do. A VPN can increase your ping by 50~100ms so it's not good for games. Just don't expect them to cover your ass if the feds knock on their door. It's a proxy, not Tor.

I also get $12 in bitcoins every time someone gives them money after using this link uguu ~

Facebook is violating my country's net neutrality laws by doing exactly this shit, but the goverment looks the other way because they are helping to install a free internet bullshit for the poor people here.

Facebook is truly evil and Cuckerberg is a fucking criminal. He renounced American citizenship to become a resident of Singapore where they do not have income tax laws to dodge paying tribute to the country that made him. Little pencil neck faggot.

He also wants unlimited H-1B visas to replace skilled American programmers with clueless foreign ones. So there goes the last decent living in this country. Facebook really is garbage.

There's going to come a time soon where people like Zuckerberg, the AIDS pill swindler, and all the ISP CEOs will be beheaded ISIS style for this shit they're doing to the world and to the Internet. This is the Information Age, you cannot hide how badly you're fucking over everyone anymore.

I use AirVPN just to throw out an alternative if anyone is poking around the market. I like it mostly for it's GUI client to connect which is also super simple for anyone not used to using VPNs. It auto-connects you through their current lowest ping server, and you can specify the country as well. NOT the cheapest option, I pay about 60/year. But it's comfy.

I usually use the config file to connect with as I like to go through the same Dutch server

Any opinion on cryptostorm.is?

(Specifically as it compares to others.)

That's the other FB co-founder, Eduardo Saverin, the one who gets cucked by Zuckerberg in the movie.

Not in the market for a VPN right now, but I'll certainly keep this in mind for later. Thanks for the head's up.

I've also been using AirVPN for a few years now and have always been pleased with what they've offered; if you're using Windows the GUI client is great as it has a Network Lock feature which automatically prevents DNS leaks. The only recommendation that I would have with using any VPN is try to avoid using it if you have Steam, both because of the ping increase Null mentioned earlier and (although it's unlikely unless you try to connect to different countries for lower prices or earlier releases) using a VPN violates the Steam User Agreement, which can put you at risk of getting you account banned.

Before that I used Astrill who was recommended to me by an old friend from China, which is okay although (at the time I was using it at least) there were restrictions for certain countries on what type of traffic you can use, which is frustrating if you're trying to avoid having email and shopping account temp banned for being signed in to a different country to the one you registered the account in. They're probably one of the more expensive VPNs out there as well, which given the competition probably isn't worth the extra price anymore.

I remember this website on the darknet where they basically crowdfund assassinations through Bitcoins. You can contribute money or mark a date, and if the individual actually dies on the date you get the cash. Bernanke already has a pool of over $10,000 IIRC.

I use Express VPN, but even if you live in a country that doesn't hate free speech you should get a VPN because a lot of videos use regional copyright bullshit so you can only watch certain youtube/network tv show/etc videos in certain countries.

Don't use golden frog. Their customer service sucks all they do is "I understand your frustration, have you tried restarting your computer and unplugging your router?" They straight up lied to me a couple times.

You can get around that by just downloading the YT video, but you can't comment on the video since that part is blocked on the actual Youtube page.

I'm looking into getting a VPN though, since my computer is physically in Germany.
