Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Somehow I don't think that putting Kacklin' Kop Kamala in the forefront is going to work out well. She's just as bad as Joe in similar ways, and in some parts even worse. For example, anyone who watches or interacts with Biden gets the immediate impression that he is a senile pedophile. In the same circumstance, Kamala immediately convinces everyone around her that she is a skin-suit wearing demon or malfunctioning evil AI.

The law was amended, not repealed.

"The Patriot Act amended FISA to allow the FBI to request individual financial records in the course of antiterrorism investigations and prohibited financial institutions from notifying their customers of any such requests. federal law enforcement authority in the original Patriot Act."


The Patriot Act is dead anyway, so I have no idea if the amendments keep or not.

At least Kamala is coherent when she's not cackling like some possessed witch. Biden is going to get progressively, pun intended, worse and worse and that's going to drag even Kamala down a bit too, so pick your poison.

But there’s a hell of a lot of fallout that comes with forcing a President to resign not even a year into his term. That’s basically acknowledging that the Democrat party propped up a senile old man and that he was the best they could do.

Kamala is pretty much universally reviled and would come into office only to be mired down in Joe’s mess. She’s already disliked by most people and having to sort this shitshow would only drive those abysmal poll numbers down.

That’s the reason nobody has seen her lately. I think they figure they’re going try to weather this storm with Joe and hope that she escapes his implosion relatively unscathed. I don’t think that’ll work, but I think that’s their play.

They really don’t have a lot of good options right now.

One thing I hope happens is the second, like the NANOSECOND, Trump is in office again (I know, big fucking rainbows given that they're literally at the point they're rigging elections to keep populists out) that he fires Fauci. Like right after taking the oath of office, before he even gets down from the podium. Grabs the mic, "Fauci, you're fired."

@Jeremiah the Bullfrog Pardon the lack of quoting, but I disagree. The longer Joe sticks around, the more embarrassing and ridiculous it will be for him and his party. This isn't just about the next election or the one after that. It's about the next couple of them. The more screw-ups, incoherent meltdowns, outright lies, etc. that comes from Biden, the less credibility his party will have. It would be better for them to suck it up and accept the loss, than allow Joey, Chucky, and Nancy to drive their party off a cliff.

I think the answer is incompetence. Just, pure incompetence. One or two crises coming to a head could be one thing, but three or four that are proliferating into several... That isn't "unfortunate timing."

3. Prevent interstate travel.
4. Lockdowns.
5. Use Military to enforce these things.
6. Some grab bag of terrible ideas.

I'm not particularly serious about these. These are probably the things he wants to do. Instead we'll get some limp dicked response of "Education, people going door to door, and appeals to morality."
