I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Phil has the future time orientation of a Golden Retriever. Forever living in the NOW, unable to conceptualize what will happen months or years from now.
Phil also seems incapable of understanding that it’s a finite amount of money his wheelchairs and whales have.
If they use tips more, they’ll use Superchats less and vice versa.
Less superchats will of course mean increased begging in a month, but Phil is unable to comprehend this. Or just so used to begging working that it’s his fall back in any situation.
Phil telling people to forgo Superchats in lieu of tips because 'that helps me in a month and a half, I need help NOW!', is pretty much the best look into his way of thinking and behaving when it comes to his financial situation and why he's never going to have any actual 'success' or ability to do anything that doesn't involve a lot of sad and shameless begging.
