Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

All this covid tyranny and seeing people celebrate deaths because people weren't vaxxed reminds me of a C.S.Lewis quote:

Remember, these people dislike the Constitution because it focuses on "negative rights" rather than "positive rights." So of course in their demented, foreign minds vaccine mandates let you do all these things* are "freedom."

*Ignore that the vaccines seem to do a pretty shit job at this though, lol.

Biden doesn't have the clout to federalize them. D+10 poll put him at 39% approval...meaning he's hitting 30% approval and its hard to come back from that while cracking the whip. Military leadership also looks dumb because of Afghanistan. He'd run the risk of open defiance in a literal sense from every Republican state and potentially some Democrat run ones.

DeSantis would not play and Abbot has been following him. Several Gov/AG have already state being openly against and challenging this mandate. Taking the State's Army is far beyond his political power at this point. Also from what Poso is posting/Pelosi appealing publicly to Soros...Democrats are infighting hard. @Gehenna had a great break down like 7ish pages back.

How are companies going to enforce this? all through out the pandemic my employer, a large nationwide chain with 60,000+ employees, has not have a shit about Covid save cleaning door handles and countertops. Masks are required but it is not enforced and everyone just wears it under their chin. even the district manager never gave a fuck.
they never enforced anything on us and now they are supposed to chop what, ~30% of the work force (90% at my store) when they CANT GET EMPLOYEES ANYWAY? the next closest location to the one i work at serves a small town and is the towns only grocery store and stays busy only has 3 employees and cant find help. guess that store will just shut down now.
