Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

this could hold some weight, but then otoh remember that most afghanis can't seem to do a single jumping jack and couldn't build a functional country after 20 years of US aid and direction, so I'm not sure if they'd make good labor in any capacity

I didn't say it was a good plan or that The Uniparty/Corps are smart.

It would be hilarious for it to be the case and blow up in their face spectacularly.

If it wasn't Crenshaw who said revolt I'd dismiss it, but him saying it and then Poso tweeting that the feds are looking for that word online, let's just say wannabe Big Boss glows more than the truck guy from a few weeks ago. You remember truck guy, right? And the fisherman who accosted Tucker in Montana? Remember them? Anyone?
Yea. Crenshaw is definitely a deep state asset to radicalize republicans into pro war anti govt sentiment.

thats why I call him the knock off pirate.

I wake up, and of course Biden does the full accelerationist thing.

Never has this been more apt.

What I'm about to say: YOU DO NOT WANT TO GO DOWN THIS ROAD, but it may happen.

how soon before we see the following:

* Our countrymen asking the Taliban to ASSIST us with liberation
* The Taliban reaching out to us, offering ASSISTANCE with liberation

And a whole lot will gleefully take this. And you DO NOT want to go down this road, for this is its OWN monkey's paw.

This has been my TEDTalk.

To be honest, I never thought it would go this far.
Why? "Thus always to tyrants" is a phrase that isn't just about people getting sick of tyrants, it's a phrase denoting that tyrants will always push, and push, and push some more until people are tired enough of them to do something about it.

It's their nature. Scorpion and the frog, and all that.

It's never NOT fascinating still seeing how many people call for appeasement even though it's literally never worked.

That people still apologize to the Twitter mob even though in a decade the Twitter mob has never once accepted an apology.

Has anyone met these sorts of people in real life?
I am unfortunately surrounded by them, and I've spent a lot of time pondering at why they are the way they are.

I think a lot of it boils down to the fact that critical thinking is hard, and life is a lot easier and less scary if you just passively accept that the powers that be are generally competent and have good intentions, even if they don't always get it right. You don't have to pour over infection rates in Israel and try to understand what they mean. Dr Fauci says to take the vax so you've taken the vax and now you're smart and a good person because you listened to the experts. You don't have to wonder what parts of the news are lies. CNN is reputable. The news doesn't lie.

A lot of these people are well-off people generally insulated from anything more uncomfortable than a few mean words. They don't have any real concept of how badly things can go if you allow yourself to be mislead and controlled in this way. Consciously or not, they choose to believe what is most comfortable for them. And they've invested so much in that comfort bubble, that they will respond with rage to anyone who challenges it, especially in a way that clearly has merit or that isn't easily dismissed.

I didn't think that the US population would become what it has become, to be honest.

I guess it's because I'm older and all I want to do is relax and make sure my kids & grandkids have a good life and better options than I did.

I'll just carry on with my pacifism, because I will not raise my hand in anger toward my fellow man.
