Plagued COVID Conspiracy Theorists and other idiots - This is not a political thunderdome or gay slapfight thread.

I'm assuming he's referring to this article from the Japan Times, which mentions that the deaths of three people are being investigated in relation to the contaminated Moderna vaccines that were distributed in Japan. Of course, there's the slight issue that the cause of the death is being investigated, and the article said that according to Japan's health ministry, "any causal relationship between his inoculation and death remains unknown" and that "the cause of death in the three cases is still being investigated."

So, clearly, this all means that Moderna is going to kill us all.

Yeah, how do you know it's from the vaccine? And even if it was, a 1 in a million chance at an adverse reaction is still far less chances of something bad from covid.

Japan hasn’t banned it, it has recalled some lots with contamination (unrelated to what is in the vaccine). This is what happens when people get their news from patriottrutheaglewarriorreport.com lol

As for vaccine incidents, look at this:

data.jpg

Over five billion shots have been administered worldwide. Over 30 million doses are now being given every day around the world.

Around 58 million people die each year just from regular stuff that kills people like old age. The rate is about 163,898 per day. These high numbers make it inevitable that some people are going to die after getting the vaccine, especially since it’s often given to the old and sick first.

Think about the scale of those numbers. If something that was causing health problems and death on a large scale had been administered to literally billions of people, don’t these people think that would be … noticeable? There would be hundreds of thousands dying of unexplained blood clots (or whatever the vaccine is supposedly causing) in every country in the world, even in countries where covid cases are extremely low. Instead, all we have are shady clickbait sites pushing occasional articles like “young woman vaccinated and dies two days later!” Again, if there was actually meaningful correlation between vaccines and sudden deadly conditions, at an incidence of higher than 0.00001%, no one would be able to cover it up, because morgues would be overflowing with vaccine deaths even in nations with little to no covid.

We’re about to see a shitstorm here. New federal requirements for vaccines for workers. Are you ready for the whining?
Aren't federal workers all working for the Deep State already? Shouldn't they be happy that Biden is now killing them off with deadly vaccines?

Maybe Biden was the one who was actually sent to 'drain the swamp' this whole time?

Expect lots of people to quit their jobs for the sake of “MUH FREEDOMS AND BELIEFS!”
I can only speak to the Australian context specifically, but you are going to see these spergs try to organise. Take this Facebook group here. It's effectively Craigslist for people who don't want to get the jab. Trying to organise their own businesses where they won't have to adhere to government regulation. The group itself is largely just grifters, trying to sell SovCit bullshit, your usual self-help/organic healing types. And then some genuinely scared people terrified that business/the government here is now stepping up and mandating the vax.

It's a very interesting coincedence that it happens to be a side effect and he happened to get it.

They've already done that in Canada and the whining i see from antivaxxers here is insane. They're already comparing being soft forced into getting the vaccine to getting raped by the government and how needing proof of vaccination is basically the same thing as death camp tattoos because they're just that much of victims. Our hospitals are crammed full of antivaxxers to the point they had to cancel all elective surgeries.

A&Hers: Companies should be able to fire you for being gay
Also A&Hers: Companies are firing people who aren't vaccinated? REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Had an antivax protest occur in town a few days ago near the hospital, supposedly the participants were employees of the local hospital and associated clinics.

Come to find fuck all of them were and came from at least an hour away.

Simultaneously annoyed and relived to find out these yokels were out of towners, and one's license had been revoked twenty odd years ago.

My father had a heart attack immediately after getting his first shot, so I wouldn't say it's "without major incident".

Plus there's all the cases of people who died after getting the shot, to the extent that Japan has banned the Moderna vaccine.
There doesn't seem to be any evidence COVID vaccines cause heart attacks. I found a few case studies, but the big studies with tens of thousands to millions of individuals don't seem to say there's any risk.
  • The only heart attack reported in the Pfizer trial was in the placebo group, though there was also a "cardiac arrest" in the vaccine group (NEJM). The Moderna trial didn't report any heart attacks, but there was a "cardiopulmonary arrest" in each group (NEJM). I couldn't find anything like a heart attack in the Janssen trials (NEJM).
  • Rate of heart attacks did not increase significantly above baseline after vaccination with ChAdOx or Pfizer (BMJ).
  • Heart attacks occurred at the same rate in the first 21 days after mRNA vaccination as in days 22-42 (JAMA).
The number of people who died after getting the shot isn't really probative unless that number is higher than the number of people who should be dying anyway.

It doesn't make you immortal. You can still get hit by a car or have a heart attack.
LOL at taking your "vaccine" if it doesn't even make you immortal. If I get COVID I'll just take a multi-faceted drug of Nobel Prize-honored distinction. (I assume one of its facets is granting immortality.)

i heard about the required vaccinations from a nursing podcast i listened to, and one of the hosts whined about it because she didn't like the idea of not having a choice in the matter. even though she's a healthcare worker who will come into contact with dozens of sick, vulnerable people every day, has most likely gotten several other mandated vaccines in the past, and is required to adhere to choice-limiting company decisions anyways, such as a dress code. i would've been a little more understanding if she gave a response like "i don't feel safe taking something that hasn't been approved yet*" or "the rate of incidence between getting the shots and [x side effect] concerns me", but instead she went for the weakest possible complaint. sucks too, because i liked the podcast up until i got to that episode and it kind of left a sour taste in my mouth that i couldn't get past.

(*as of recording the episode, which was sometime back in august)

Bitch had a choice about becoming a healthcare worker and not literally being a fucking Typhoid Mary to her patients is part of the deal.

It's especially weird because most hospitals mandate your yearly influenza shot and also don't let you smoke. She should be used to this.

I just do not get nurses, man. I mean, I love nurses. Anyone who has actually experienced medical care in a hospital (as opposed to watching TV about it) will know that nurses do all the work and keep all the shit together and notice all the important stuff, while doctors walk in and look at you for two minutes every day before leaving. The care and support and medical knowledge they give to so many people, often in situations that would make a normal person shit themselves and cry. I have so much admiration for that.

And yet when it comes to covid vaccines so many of them are fucking insane. I know it's a minority, but it seems to be a sizeable minority (and a loud one) and I do not understand it. This is not complex medical knowledge. It is a virus. There is a vaccine. If you can't grasp that, then I am not sure how you are not killing 70% of your patients every time you show up for a shift.

Nurses getting into alternative medicine is likely because they see patients dying and can't do anything about it. They don't have much agency despite being directly responsible for patients and I imagine that starts to fuck with them mentally until they're like "yes this essential oil will definitely cardiovert them and Reiki is a thing."
