Unpopular opinions about food

I hate everything about bananas, the way they smell, their taste, their texture. Absolutely gross.

I love cucumbers... Hate pickles.

I also can't stand most dairy products. I have always been like that too. I became lactose intolerant at around age 20. Unsurprisingly not that much actually changed

Also, my favorite candy is black licorice

Eh, pumpkin spice is okay, but I don't think it's worth worshiping every autumn. If one really wanted legitimate "pumpkin spice", why not just make pumpkin pie and eat it?? At least in that case you'd get a modicum of beta carotene from the orange pumpkin. A lot of pumpkin spice found in junk food is probably just artificial flavor.

I agree. I am more for apple cider myself.

I'm not opposed to pumpkin spice, but having it be in every-fucking-thing from September to December gets reaaaaaal fuckin annoying.

Pumpkin spice is the blend of spices used to make pumpkin pie. It can be used in other things, but it shouldn't be. Except maybe coffee, and I don't even like it there much, really.

I could never get into eggs (scrambled, sunny side up, etc). I don't know why.

You shouldn't throw out apple cores. They're perfectly edible and they don't taste any different from the rest of the apple.
When I make slow-cooked chicken, I eat the bones. They're soft enough to chew and the marrow tastes good.
Salads taste better without any kind of dressing.
When I walk past a Subway the smell makes me want to puke. I don't know how people eat there.

Macdonalds is Hipster garbage these days. It's like the Apple Inc. of Fast Food, and I can only stand their breakfast burritos anymore, simple shit though.

(Is the fried potato thing word filtered now? The christ mods.)

Panera Bread set the bar pretty low for commercials despite their cause.

Pizza chains still don't understand how a salad works.

Spicy food is no such thing unless it makes your eyes water and your nose run.

This is true, but it has to have flavor as well. Cajun food? Spicy and tasty. Real Mexican food? Spicy and tasty. Indian food? Spicy and tasty. Most cuisine from southeast Asia? Also spicy and tasty. The American 1,600,000 Scoville scale oh-fuck-I'm-chewing-on-a-road-flare hot wings sauce is just bland, painful bullshit.

None of the experimental "choke the fuck out of you" peppers are legally classified as food anymore. Let it sink in what the state might impose if we keep rocketing Scoville and keep pushing them as edible matter. Sub 800-Billion Scoville is weapons grade.
