Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

As someone on YouTube put it, Houston from the air for instance looks like it was carpet bombed. It doesn't have to be this way though and there are American towns that look great because they don't believe in designing the city around the car rather than people... wouldn't hold out on any big cities being de-uglified in our lifetimes though.

I’m going to disagree with this common “cars are evil and ruin cities” take that Reddit and YouTube lefties always seem to have. Having a car and being able to travel anywhere in minutes at anytime is almost a miracle (especially if you had to rely on spotty public transit for 15 years or walking/cycling in horrible weather, limiting how far you can travel for what services). Getting a car and being able to skip those problems has been amazing for me and I’m starting to think people who hate cars and cities catering to drivers are spoiled and don’t realize how good they have it. These same people are the ones voting and passing laws to make driving more hard and more expensive so that everyone else suffers (“people must suffer for doing something I hate!”). “Oh, just take the bus or cycle” they scream at you w/o realizing you have a job where you need to be on-call 24/7 (or any other context making public transit impossible).

Live in pod within walking distance to “Eat a Bug!” ration station and kill the car along with freedom of movement beyond walking (and walking will be deemed ableist soon enough). You will be happy.

Fuck that.

The only other human invention that has fundamentally changed so much day-to-day living has been the smart phone. We’ve already started changing our architecture and design to accommodate this. When the automobile became nearly universal in 20th Century America, we did that same thing.

In regards to making cities ugly, yes, this is true, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Perhaps the automobile puts a much-needed limit on population densities and these ugly cities are trying to surpass that limit (which is why they’re horrible)? This whole issue is much more nuanced and I’m sick of this “cars are evil” oversimplification.

I don't believe that's what happened. This kind of overreaching and absolutely boneheaded move that everyone knows will backfire is a desperate attempt to exercise control, where none exists. Only a retarded and inexperienced policy tard would push for this and an equally inexperienced staffer tard greenlit it. What you responded to is the preamble to what occurred, my larger point has been that this particular policy was a pure power play in a desperate attempt to prove the admin isn't toothless. It's basically a hail mary pass to prevent the cabal from disintegrating into civil war. What I was describing in the post you responded to was what made that show of force 'necessary'.

Of course the Rockefeller Foundation is but part of a whole network of entities involved. The Bill and Malinda Gates Foundation and the Tony Blair Institute are two of the more recognizable NGOs working together with this one. I'm not aware of any NGO that isn't evil, really.

I don't understand why a single one of these factions you mention believe agitating the majority of the country, and most importantly, the places where food is procured and then sent out to the two coasts, would be a good idea.

Even the most decadent and brainless Roman emperor knew you needed bread to pacify the masses.

Vermont is mostly red, it's only partly blue because of rich fucks from NY, NJ and Conn moving there to escape crime and coof mandates. That and the shitty university they have.

To explain why is going to require a bit, so strap in:

The Establishment is roughly the apparatus of the Democrats which exists now solely for the propagation of itself. The eminent problem is that this apparatus has become totally disconnected from the populace it rules over. Pelosi as the most well-known example also provides the best modern example. Do you recall during the early days of Covid, when people were having issues obtaining food when she released a video of her celebrating her ice cream?


Tone-deaf doesn't begin to cover it.

This faction, existing only for its own propagation, is generally in favor of any policy which solidifies control underneath the federal government. It is likely the main force for bringing on the other two for the election's fortification.

Now, how does this policy fit their agenda? Well, put simply these people believe Twitter is a good indicator of general American sentiment. In their ivory tower bubble, their total disconnect from reality, they honestly and truly believe that the vast majority of America supports the idea of a mandate. What they do not believe, right now, is that Biden was the right call, and they have grown disillusioned with their cabal coalition. The policy thus serves two purposes, one as a show of force and power, and two as a federal power-grab. Both things that the Admin needs to retain the Establishment faction. The reason for the sheer severity of it is also made clear, the Establishment makes up the largest section of the Admin's power as the faction to start it all.
