And I caught that series too. Definitely brought up some memories, idk. I never thought growing up my generation would have a pearl harbor or jfk moment in the sense that an entire collective generation could think "I remember exactly what I was doing in that moment". I won't go into my own story here, just say that the series was very poignant and well done and makes one think about how quickly everything can change.
All that being said I have to admit I'm growing increasingly concerned about the amount of glow around the 'rally' next week. I genuinely hope no actual citizens are dumb enough to go to glowfest q3, but even if no one goes and plays an unwitting part, I'm concerned they may have something else planned to either suck the air from the fires surrounding Biden or to tighten down control.

Monday : The vaccine is an immunity inducing vaccine and thus, we need 80% fully vaccinated to confer herd immunity and end the pandemic, the vaccines are safe and 99% effective!
Wednesday : The vaccine prevents the need for hospitalization, but you can still transmit the virus even if you're fully vaccinated so you must wear the mask. We've got mask mandates and 80% vaccinated population, but hospitals are so full of the unvaxxed it's overwhelming the system, but we also won't serve the unvaxxed so please don't come.
Dems do it like this ;
Tuesday : We will separate you based on your vaccination status.
Thursday : Come on man, we can't let anything divide us!
You can follow one day's advice, which is wrong the next day. It's purpose is to wear people down. It's a common tactic in domestic abuse victimization, i.e ; a man says to his wife "you're fat and never do anything with yourself, smarten yourself up" and when the wife obeys, she's met with "who the fuck are you dressing up for, you slut, you're cheating" etc.
I can't even say "Biden" is doing this, because we all know he's a stooge installed by Obama's associates as a place holder.

Biden has been treated like a bumbling but harmless (children aside) nincompoop for most of his career. It is doubtful that his lifetime of failing upward has prepared him to utterly despised by a sizeable chunk of the country. I bet it honestly shocks him, especially now that his mental faculties, which were never the sharpest to begin with, are growing increasingly dull.

I don't think anyone was personally for them being posterchildren of the GOP, speaking for myself I thought it was stupid (and still is) for the GOP to attempt to revert to fundamentalist moralizing Christianity when he country no longer supports or wants it. Tolerance, but not acceptance or approval, of others and their differences is way better than authoritarian moralizing.
