Okay so I don't know when a better time.
I had an idea of making videos about the girls that showed how amazing they were while also documenting their life in a documentary type way. First would be Gura. Basically a long video about Gura's history and how's she's used her past and struggles to grow and excel. My main concerns is if this is too much of a herculean task (hundreds of hrs of watching videos; not to mention the scripting and recording) and if I'd get in trouble with the girls as I'd be mentioning BrownBeeTV and Senzawa a lot. (though I wouldn't be showing Gura's face).
Any thoughts?

No, absolutely not, there's a reason why the farms are one of the only places to have discussion about vtubers and their past identities openly.

Just as a general rule of thumb. If this site is one of the only places you know of talking about something, that's a surefire sign that trying to make some big public video revealing that info is not a smart idea. Things end up relegated to sites like the farms for a reason, because it doesn't fly in public discourse.

What makes you think your intentions are any better in the long run? In what realm do you think that taking something that stresses the talent out, a brief 30 second or more clip revealing this shit, and turning it into a fucking movie is going to help? When Gura got outright stalked and her family abused, stuff that fucked her and her streaming performance up for weeks, and you want to revisit that bullshit AGAIN?!?!

You wanted advice, you got it: not a good idea. It's good of you to even ask for advice instead of waste all that time on a video that would just get reviewbombed, and I'm glad at least someone explained to you why it wasn't going to be a useful video without biting your head off.

granted, the difference is that suisei was always suisei, there's no real "past life" involved.

instead of being creepy and involving brownbeetv, why not make a collage about the greatest gura moments of the past year that really show her growth? throw in some voice clips of her talking about herself as gura as "narration", and that would be something i could watch.
