My employer hasnt said a thing about the mandate. nor has anyone else that i have seen.

Same. I'm currently employed by a university that receives federal money and I haven't heard a peep about it. I assumed I was going to wake to an email at least addressing the issue, but there hasn't been anything from either my direct supervisors or the top administrators. I was expecting at least a "we're keeping track of the situation and we'll let you know when we have more info" , but I haven't even gotten that.

Beyond a relative handful who were ready to jump behind the mandate at first, I suspect very few will eagerly jump at it now. Even in the Bluest of Blue areas. Once it became clear it was without a doubt unconstitutional and would be challenged, every workplace probably got a hastily written notice by Legal.

If it gets challenged and falls, say hello to the lawsuits.

in the past it was easy to just take the family jewels and run, since most conflicts of that kind were limited to certain nations or regions, but not so much these days.

It's also worth noting that if the tranny brigade fails to secure the country for the plutocrats to make their triumphant return, whatever countries they fled to would be heavily incentivized to ingratiate themselves to the new, bloodied, unreasonably fuckass mad, American regime by turning them over as fugitives from justice.

Fleeing both demoralizes the people you need to win a civil war and draws unwanted attention to you if you lose.

And one of those other 16 is broken because it lost to a crane, one of them is the Chinese finished sister ship to the one that lost to a crane, and the other Chinese carrier is a Chinese knock off of the carrier that lost to a crane. The best anyone else can do is half the air wing of America's real carriers anyways, and if we really wanted to, we could load up our marine assault ships with nothing but F-35s. Sure, not as good, but they'll do in a pinch.

Not much to talk about. We are once again in a holding pattern until events kick-off. Nobody wants to start shit right on the heels of the 9/11 events especially since they proved absolutely toxic to Biden.

Not much to say, but I did get to vote in the California recall election today (the State is doing everything they can to get people to vote -staying open late, hand-waving people in with minimal ID checks, etc). While I feel content to have voted, the checking/verifying the polling volunteers were (not) doing shocked me. Almost a “when in doubt, fill ballot and we’ll check later”. I would not be surprised if non-residents (legal or not) were being “accidentally” allowed to vote.

But still, Cuomo got outsted, discontent towards Dems is at an all-time high among independents and Republicans (while Dems are at all-time high apathy — the adds for no recall prominently feature Sleepy Joe and Copmala, along with non-Californian Dems like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie, which seems like a bad idea for something local). We’ll see what happens…

I agree. I'm a fan of a strong USN, since America's best defense is the walls that are the Atlantic and the Pacific, but historically our overseas interests are in the Pacific and in the Americas.
We're far too engaged in places that we have dubious interests in, while our most reliable ally outside of the anglosphere is the Japanese. We really should be courting Russia to counter China, but that's a "What would Bismarck do?" Realpolitik calculation.

The Euros need to deal with their own backyard. They claim to be the adults in the room, they need to back their bluster.
