Here are the updated statistics right from the CDC website for deaths this year. I knew COVID skewed old of course, but I didn't realize this old.

- Pneumonia has basically 90% the death rate of COVID, regardless of age group except for children.
- The number of children's deaths from COVID this year? 214. In fact, more children this year have died of pneumonia (299) than COVID.
- The date rate from COVID that were 49 and younger is 6.59% (17037/258609).
- 50% of the people that have died this year from COVID were 75+. Nearly a quarter were 85+.
