Here's my take.
RJ and PPP are both deeply flawed individuals with a LOT of issues that we know about, and a ton more we don't. We've seen a slow decline in the last few streams that hints at turmoil behind the scenes. RJ's mental state has slowly declined. I think there's a few factors a play. Surfer comes from a deeply disturbed background, as revealed in a few of the recent streams. He's very likely schizophrenic, and doesn't have the humility to admit that he needs help. As someone who has struggled with mental issues similar to schizophrenia, I can say this is the worst thing you can do, as you starting coping and justifying your increasingly out of touch mentality, and saying that the people trying to help you are actually the problem. I'm not saying Surfer should pop tons of pills, but he needs to have a stable network of friends and friends outside of PPP. There's nothing wrong with having a best friend, but exclusively having one friend (which from what I can tell is all that Surfer has now) is really unhealthy. You need stable social relationships to deal with your own eccentricities.
I think RJ may have a legitimate reason to be pissed off at PPP though. I don't think PPP is employed, and Surfer works at least 2 if not 3 jobs. That's terrible for your mental health. Living with a friend, not matter how close they may be, needs to be a temporary thing, and you need to share the burden of living. Having one guy do all the work is a horrible arrangement doomed to end in bitterness and resentment. I think RJ is the kinda guy to let it build up over time.
We've seen a decline in Surfer's positions that parallels his mental decline. I think a lot of his positions are based on looking like a tough guy, but I'm not going to say he's totally disingenuous. He used to be a big NoFapper, but now he's ranting about how you sometimes need to 'finish yourself off' in the morning. He used to talk about how immoral weed and videogames were, but yet he plays crash bandicoot and clearly smokes weed. He listens to degenerate rap music and blares Afroman after PPP finishes singing 'Amazing Grace.' I think Surfer is a massive hyprocrite, who talks a big talk but doesn't so much as lift a finger to live anything resembling a Christian life.
As a Christian myself, I recognize we are all fallen creatures and I'm certainly no saint. I occasionally drink, and smoke cigars (Surfer has excellent taste in cigars btw) which are both vices, but I don't take myself so seriously that I think God is talking or whispering in my ear. The Word is the only thing that speaks to us, the rest we have to use our conscience and judgement on. God wants strong independent people that can stand on their own two feet without needing Him to whisper in their ear every second. That's a horrible position that leads to weak people.
PPP's handling of the situation was very poor, and it sounds like he's a lazy bastard who needs to grow up and probably stop streaming so much. The revelations about the poop on the toilet, if true, are totally disgusting. He needs to get a grip and loose some serious weight.
Hopefully their separation will make them better people. I used to love listening to their streams, but the past few have been painful. Both need some time away from the internet.
