Seems like the classic scenario where you live with a best friend but one is clearly taking the caretaking of the unit seriously and one isn't. It always ends up with the serious one resenting the lazy one. PPP never cleans the dishes, he doesn't sweep and probably never takes out the trash. Surfer was the one who was there first, and he let PPP stay. At some point he probably was added to the lease. If he's leaving shit on the toilet seat/lid, that's the kind of disrespect you have to stand up to. It seems Surfer was willing to let a lot of it slide in exchange for PPP's gospel. But it always grinds away at you since the balance isn't equal and you start to attack them directly. It rarely works though, the person doesn't change and they end up moving out.
What I do not get though is the complete superiority that Surfer projects over PPP. He has some, yes and I think he is entitled to it as I explained above.
But he isn't entirely independent either. His mom buys groceries and does his laundry. That shows a lack of your own agency and shows he's not much better than PPP.
Saying PPP couldn't get a job without surfer is only half true, as they met working at the same place. After the fact, there probably is more merit to that claim as it seems PPP has only used Surfer's telemarketing job as a springboard to getting work.
The weirdest thing though is that they constantly stay up all night and sleep during the day. That implies they only do telemarketing calls now.
The sleeping on the couch bit is weird, as we know he has a room by the front door at the bottom of the steps. Don't recall if there's a bed or a couch but he definitely has his own room so to say he sleeps on the couch is hyperbolic.
Despite all this dynamic, it really doesn't explain why Surfer was so delusional to think PPP wouldn't have a show without him and later called the police. I want to blame it on alcohol but it doesn't quite add up. Its just so out of character.
For the time I've watched Surfer, he doesn't strike me as much of a liar. He probably tells little lies here and there, and sometimes will make an joke for comedy that is technically lying but you know he's just playing.
That's why it was weird he was so sure that PPP banged the sheboon hooker. Either his memory is wrong, or he really did watch PPP do something because I don't think he'd lie about that. Ok, but that was a long time ago, and its being remembered through a haze of drugs and alcohol
What really troubled me is when he claimed PPP wasn't on the lease. That isn't something you mix up. I'm not sure who is lying but someone has to be full of shit since they both can't be right. Surely they have a digital or physical copy somewhere in the apartment. I tend to think PPP is the liar here but after last night, I am unable to be sure.
And none of this explains why Surfer called 911 in my mind.
Oh and its clear that Surfer is jealous that PPP went on a mini vacation to be degenerate. PPP converted him and now seems like his pastor is less interested in the faith than his own convert.
