Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

To be fair, everyone who was sick of Newsom and his shit moved out already.
Not exactly. Can't leave yet, sure wish I could. Certainly eats shit to live in a place where so many people are apparently kissing the boot that kicks them. Such people are unworthy of respect. Just another reason I do nothing in "the community", and give not flying fuck one about it..

On another subject...

Hmm, interesting things in here. Do wish this included the percentages of reporting in, but it is unsurprising that the coast itself is bright blue and that's where the most Democrat votes are. The lower right going so solidly blue -is- surprising to a degree.
San Diego and Santa Barbra solid blue? Pressing X for doubt.

Are you referring to Riverside and San Bernardino counties? They were the last conservative bastions in Southern California along with Orange and San Diego in the 2000s but those fell in the Obama years and they haven't looked back since.

Give me some county names and I can pull them up, at a glance you're looking at ~50-60% in along the coast with some of the rural ones (unsurprisingly) ~80-90%.

Currently 60/40 for no with about ~70% in.

Aye, I am not as up to date on California politics as I am national ones, Given my stomping grounds are considerably more north and east than Cali.

San Diego and to an extent Santa Barbara have become something of rich establishment strongholds and have become hopelessly blue since Obama. Orange County is kind of interesting, but I guess it's really just become an extension of LA county now. The inland counties along Nevada is definitely interesting.

While this is going on, Manchin just cucked on the Dems Commandeering Elections Act.
Not a cuck, his compromise bill is far, FAR less wide-reaching and actually is basically a bunch of mostly bipartisan (as in,v oter bipartisan) agreed things. Still -no- fucking excuse for it on a federal level, but nothing terribly nasty in it. Also, doomed with a filibuster.

Do you think their on-the-ground operations have gone back to normal? Because people who have been whipped up into a frenzy like they have been over Trump often have issues dialing it back once the threat is over. It hasn't been that long since the great steal, either, and they've been under a constant media barrage about Trump's shadow looming over the world, "white supremacy", and how Elder is basically Satan now. I would not discount them panicking, particularly with how important Newsom not being recalled is to the party as a whole.
Hard to tell, especially considering the circumstances that led to them going overboard weren’t confined to just their operatives. Trump’s election was straight up revelatory to a lot of people, and those people now have front row seats to the sheer scale of the bullshit the other side does to maintain their control. I know people like to talk about how we’re a dead, gay fucking nation, and they’re mostly right to do so; but this shit isn’t going away now.

San Diego went the way of Virginia; last voted red in 2004 and then demographic replacement (and not really the amnesty Mexican flavor, either) did them in. Orange County went the same way a few years ago, I remember some celebration about having finally conquered the land where Good Republicans go to die a few years ago. Trump won over many of the Vietnamese that call Orange home, but not enough to make a difference overall.

The fact its now switching to this OVER the old bill is somewhat interesting, given it means that bill is -dead-, and this might be their attempted replacement. Given it's dead on a filibuster, as there is no way in hell you are getting 10 Republicans on board, makes me think this is another desperate attempt to gain -anything- right now. Means the Dems actually cucked on something, giving up pushing their big election bill and just want to get any sort of win even if it means they can't actually fix the next election.
