He could do a short members-only stream before his break and do a poll during it asking what to play. But even if he thought of that he probably wouldn't want to do that because he would be horrified by the extremely low attendance and participation vs his supposed membership.

Of course, Phil actually loves this because now he doesn't even have to pretend to consider the requests of the people who pay him to stream. Before, when they'd suggest something he didn't want to play he'd have to make up an excuse or claim it was trolls. Now he can just do whatever he wants, and he gets to blame it on Youtube. Win win.

Just to expand upon this, psychonauts 2 had no real chance to chart. It had minimal attention on release (I'd bet most people didn't know it came out until afterwards, I know I didn't) and had a lot of incredibly stiff competition. Less than a week after ghost of Tsushima de and 2 days before nmh3. It also released at the end of the month, giving it little time to gain any traction.

You'd think someone who plays games for a living would be able realise this, but Phil makes it so obvious he isn't interested in the wider industry. Just like his takes on release dates

I mentioned this before but it bares repeating. DSP already has the perfect out to absolve him of his hypocrisy when it comes to the new COD. If and when a fan buys or donates it he can simply just say well "I cant not play it you guys, a generous fan... blah blah blah." I expect lots of banning that day. DSP and morals, he will find a way around anything.

I know I'm a bit late with this comment, but regarding the whole "I'm having fun, why isn't everyone else having fun?" comment, aside from the obvious narcissism, he's sort of correct that a lot of people, myself included will watch streamers play games they personally would never play but still enjoy watching because the streamer is enjoying him or herself (It also helps that those people actually interact with their viewers and aren't scamming beggars).

The problem is Phil is never having fun anymore (did he ever?) when he plays videogames. So when he says "I'm having fun" I always get confused because more often than not he was either goat laughing while playing some walking simulator, trying not to fall asleep or complaining about some bugged mechanics. "I'm having fun, why isn't everyone else having fun?" But you weren't though Phil. So by his own logic, his few viewers/wheelchairs should also not be having fun, because he hates every single game he plays nowadays.

Welp... We’re back to “You get an emote, a sticker and no 10 second chat slowdown!” When Phil lists the many, many benefits of supporting him as a creator.

I guess it also means that we get a repeat of that Autistic game Phil and his chat plays, where they try to come up with good/new/cool things to include as a members perk, and he pretends to take it really seriously, before he shoots it down with an arbitrary reason. (Usually da trolls!)

It wouldn't be a fan's donation to claim that. He'll just buy it and claim a fan donated it. He has a history of it, such as his 4k TV, PS4 pro. Even his series x an and laptop from the last begathon he claimed were donated.

DSP is getting stale. There for a little while it seemed like he was edging closer and closer to having a meltdown. But at this point it has become clear exactly how the next several months is going to play out. His claims of the hardcore gaming season saving him will not be true once again. Halo, Far Cry, and Metroid will all fail to give him that wave of pahsitivity that he craves. The whole taking back his twitter rant will be memory holed within a month. In December I guarantee he'll be streaming to the exact same same audience, getting tips from the exact same whales, having the exact same money begging, and gearing up for the exact same tax begathon.

We need a true black swan to make him interesting again. We need something like a divorce saga from OiC or Khet.

I would say he was having fun before EvilAJ made TIHYDP popular. It seems like, especially in the last couple years, DSP has done everything possible to not let those go viral again even at the expense of, quite frankly, his actual business. That's why he uses walkthrough and disables comments and refuses to explore anything he isn't certain about.

I just wanted to point out a few things regarding 1MinuteMan, BobbaJo, SilentBob, etc. So from recent memory, these 3 only seem to tip when the tips goal for the stream hasn't been met yet before the break,

I find it very interesting that he only started revealing the tip before the break until after we started talking about how scummy the whole practice was. A few months back. Now it's always before the break. I also find it very interesting that BobbaJo only ever started making an appearance at the same time. It had always been OMM/SB before that.

@Piece of Peace has been doing the spreadsheet since April but this "behind the scenes" scam has been happening for over a year. The thing is: while Phil was still on Twitch, it'd be more of a rarity that the ***$100*** tips goal wasn't hit by the time he got back from break at 15:00pst and so the shady tip wouldn't make much of an appearance.

But for the last few months, it's God damn near every day that this shady tip appears and ONLY DOESN'T when he has some whale hitting the goal immediately like what happened last week with the return of OroTurtle.

Additionally, after Froggah brought up the missing tip on the boards last week, there was a phantom, one-time-only Hugh Jazz with a $20something tip. So, whoever is in cahoots with Phil, is an active Farms reader.
