Nick came before Nader. We all got to watch her drive to meet him and be all giddy afterwards. He rubbed her gunt in her car. She was all excited as she drove home, and then he kept pushing back their first actual date and eventually blocked her. After that I highly doubt he ever contacted her again, but he was a real person in the beginning. Just like Bibi, he's now used to make Nader jealous, that is obvious. I think we all remember back at first how excited she was and then when he blocked her how upset she got and the rage chimpout that followed.

ETA:
April 4th was when she had the date with Nick, so almost 3 weeks before Nader came on scene.

There's a certain sort of surrealness in watching Chantal while dealing with a Chantal in your own life. They all really do follow the same textbook dynamics, the same excuses, the same back and forth. Chantal thinks her situation and her relationship with Nadar is just so unique, it's so special, you guise, you don't even know, when in reality it's the exact same story told thousands of times by millions of wo/men.

I was just thinking earlier that Chantal's entire downfall - the drugs, the overspending, Nadar, the beatings. the absolute slide into degeneracy and her losing every last fuck she had about her own dignity - all started with one, single misfiring neuron that said "You should set up a Tinder account."

That's it. That's all it took to shove her very sizeable ass onto the plank for her to start walking down. It seems so small, but it snowballed into something that she will never escape from. She doesn't want to.

From small beginnings, it's astonishing.

In a lot of ways, I suspect she is trying to make Nader the new Peetz more than the new Bibi. A quasi-sidekick on the show she can use as a prop and for content. Peetz is a bore and a drag, and she knows it too. He bores her to death, and she makes no secret of it. But Nader is fun; he does magic card tricks, and cooks Nashies, and has abs. A helper who makes her look better. Being as unlikable and unintelligent as she is, her options are severely limited. However, she thinks she can pull it off. Enough charming videos from Nader's place and both Nader and the audience will get used to it and be compliant.

This is where she is seriously miscalculating. Nader is his own man; he isn't gonna let fatso tell him what to do like Peetz does, and he has no need to facetime her viewers to assuage his loneliness. He has friends to swap dick pics with and hos to bang. She thinks she can manipulate him as she does anyone else who remains in her life, but that's gonna only lead to her getting punched out again.

Likewise; the fans really aren't digging Nader; she has told them too much nasty stuff too many times, and all but the dimwittiest of dimwits are unable to forget it. So, if Chantal thinks she is going to be the new Sonny and Fat Cher, she's gonna hit a brick wall. Worse, enough of her "fans" are actually offended by Nader's existence; the offended ones won't renew memberships.

So, in a variant of her usual painted-in-a-corner trope, now she is painted into a corner and will attempt to escape by bursting through the walls, finally breaking Nader and charming the audience. This is really the only scenario she could be imagining, because the alternative is what is really going to happen: Nader's gonna bruise her up again and her audience will recoil in disgust again. Even if she were victorious, and whipped Nader into being a compliant puppy, half her paying members would tune out.

She's fucked if she succeeds (and Peetz is fucked too), and fucked and beaten if she fails. Those are the Clotso odds I love. This time, the stakes are higher than usual.

In the beginning she told him she was living off her savings, had saved a lot of money. He saw $ signs from the first day. I'm sure she also exaggerated how much she had "saved". It was only later she told him she was a "social media influencer" and even later she told him she had a YT channel. I doubt she told him she acts like a pig online for money.
