La Palma is rumbling - What are the implications of a 40 foot Tsunami along the east coast?

With a disaster of this potential magnitude there is nothing to be gained from being the first to raise the alarm, and nobody wants to be the first one to look like an idiot if they are wrong. If nobody covers this and it happens, nobody will be held accountable. If somebody sounds the alarm and it happens, they won't be heralded as a hero or earn accolades, the devastation will be so massive that they'll simply be accused of not saying something sooner. The things to watch are the quiet movements of the elites, if they start to flee or close in on themselves, then panic.
unfortunately my leet friends don't vacation in the canaries

I mean, it's not like this is the kind of disaster you can effectively run from. Saying "everything's fine" to the very end is likely a good choice, at least locally. USA has enough time for elites to run if it goes, so watching them gets us nowhere. They can wait until it's happening

I'm not one to usually worry, but ngl, I'm having a bad very bad month, so I can't help but think the worst :'( At least from what you guys are saying, even worse case scenario, my family will have time to get out and be safe. I'll just focus on that to keep my sanity.
A full coastal evacuation in 8 hours will be a big ask. The south may be better prepared because all east-west Interstates from Virginia on down are set up for hurricane evacuations and have the infrastructure to be made into one way limited access roads. Any State North of Virginia is nowhere near as prepared.

This isn't the first time they've had swarms there, though, is it? I saw news articles from 2017 talking about earthquake swarms. Not saying nothing will happen, but I don't think it is time to panic yet.

Since we're all talking about the Volcano here is a video posted recently about it. Maybe it will ease some minds.

Maybe if you hear about it when everyone else does and you end up trying to panik pack and etc., but my family is on alert and ready to jump in their cars and drive to safety the moment things go South. I don't see how they would be stranded or stuck in an unsafe location if they leave right away??

Comparing dozens of quakes to thousands

Fyi this swarm is unprecedented

hey I am really sorry you are having all this anxiety. I get very worked up about natural disasters too. I hope you can feel better.

Info: As of today, 4222 earthquakes have been detected

Small Landslides have begun to happen!

It was seen in the coastal neighborhood of El Remo, near Puerto Naos. -Experts say the Seismic Activity may grow fast.

still no coverage

Doom posting at its finest. When nothing happens once again. What is next on the doomer schedule?

Nobody is doom posting. Its been stated many times this probably wont happen.

Geologists literally say the island will one day collapse, and the catalyst will be what is happening today...so it deserves discussion

My only concern are the retarded coastie refugees flooding and ruining my state.
Considering broadcast television and internet will be knocked out...aswell as large swathes of power and coupled with an immediate collapse of Currency. I would say you could probably shoot them and get away with it.

Reminder: 30 feet of water buries Manhattan and tops most of the bridges going in and out.

Another non happening like the three gorges dam.

3GD was a pretty big happening. The dam held but many other dams had to be blown

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't also some nuclear power plants along the Atlantic coast as well?
