Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Milley saying repeatedly China is "a great power," not an enemy, reminds me of Biden's campaign, where he said they were a "competitor" but not an opponent. It's ... odd. At best it's pussy-footing around the obvious, and it's hard to sell that without coming across like you have a knife behind your back or money under your nose. And YET, when Trump gasses up NK or Xi right before active diplomatic talks, he's seen as being soft on them.

If any of you don't own one by now I'd recommend you pick up a decent hunting rifle and learn to scope it in and shoot it. Maybe get a .22 as well for when times are extra sparse. But venison is very tasty and healthy, and so far hunting licenses are one of the few things I haven't noticed them fucking with too much recently. Hunting really isn't as hard as one would think from all the gadgets they market to small dicks either, at the root of it it involves having an understanding of your weapon, of the animal and the land more than having camouflage underwear and thermal scopes and shit like that.

Also buy some heritage seeds while you can (non GMO) and get some winter crops like kale planted.

Worries about the effects of inflation are easier to manage when you know how to provide food for yourself and your family outside the grocery store. For urban kiwis I'm not as familiar with what you have to deal with, but hell if you have to, rent a car and go on a hunting trip, there are shitloads of hunters as well as legit businesses who have no problem taking some money and/or a case of beer from yuppies to take them in the hills for a day and teach them where and how to shoot something edible.
Yup, I know without a doubt my extended family members could keep me fed with venison just by staking out our backyard for a while. I don't hunt myself, but all my cousins do, and they live nearby and regularly share their bounty. It's good to at least know people who have some skills they can help you learn.

Going on a week without any news from my employer about the vaccine mandate.
I dug through my backlogged emails today and some friendly lawyer sent out an email to a lot of businesses saying, "Yeah, hold off on this because we have no idea how this would be implemented, so we'd have to wait until it's in writing or a court rules on it because it seems ... crazy unworkable, regardless of whether it's seen as constitutional." The logistics just seemed like a nightmare, and she explicitly pointed out the likelihood of companies cutting down to fewer than 100 employees to avoid the drama.

Impossibly based. Except it's really just commonsense centrism that they've worked so hard to demonize.

I wonder if that started with the introduction of the income tax or the 17th Amendment that allowed people to vote Senators directly. Used to, we were able to recall Senators if they failed to represent us. Not anymore. If only there was a better system than a representative republic, but even that can only do so much about the fact that those who seek power are more likely to be corrupt the more power they obtain.
Dead on. The states lost their influence on the national level, so now it's like they're just in charge of their own stupid pond instead of active participants in the federal government. I hate so much.

Yeah, that's more or less how businesses dodged their duty to Obamacare.

The machine moves to protect it's vulnerable flank.

You will not be allowed to remove your Noble Caste from power, Commoner filth.
And Republicans will be silent on this or won't challenge this while they get cucked by Democrats and themselves for making stronger election laws.

I have a feeling if Larry Elder ran on "make me the first kang of Commifornia", the democrats would not cared much. Basically talking policy and overperforming above expectations scared the Democrats.

Well basically similar to what Trump did in 2016, go with substance over gay cultural war bullshit like abortion. And then watch the momentum grow. The liberals these days don't care about Hannity or Ingraham. However Tucker is what scares them because Tucker talks about stuff most people would care about compared to Hannity moaning about King Nigger having empathy and wearing a tan suit while eating hot dog with ketchup.

Another thing I noticed and I guess it's a third rail at this point. I noticed Republicans don't go hard on shutting down the gibs no more. If the 2020 election revealed a lot of things, the ideal of the strong masculine strong moral character Republican is gone.

I remember when PTSD was the kind of thing only war vets & severe torture victims could get.
I remember when words had meanings. But then the Marxists got into academia and realized if they give everything two definitions and control at least one of them, they can control debate, discourse, and thought.

Am i reading this right?
Rapper Nicki Minaj is claiming Twitter locked off access to her account Wednesday, two days after she suggested — without any evidence

Twitter spokesperson denied Minaj’s claim Wednesday, telling Forbes the tech company “did not take any enforcement action on the account referenced.”
Twitter also told Forbes Minaj’s initial tweets about coronavirus vaccine side-effects earlier this week did not violate the site’s rules governing Covid-related claims.

So she lied.
Well either that or twitter banned(sorry, suspended, blocked, pick whatever term you prefer), then unbanned her. So yeah, either she lied or twitter lied.
I wonder who's more trustworthy

Or neither lied and there were some technical difficulties with her account which she interpreted as a ban for obvious reasons.

But hey let's just pick whatever possibility best aligns with our preferred reality and pretend. It's the way of the left no?

This is incredibly revealing to me, and I realize yeah that's whats been going on. Its a circlejerk and I disrupted it because I wasn't a familiar face, despite agreeing with others on almost everything. I honestly expected better.
Yeah that's not why people are shitting on you.

are we making a bet or happening thread for saturday or sunday second fed day in washington.
How does expect resistance or uprising in some shape against the ruling elite and yet call those who resist as glowies?

The glowies can't arrest people for protesting and as far as January 6th goes, basically a shitshow that got out of control. And there were two major protests in DC before that day as well. Seems like it was intentional not to deploy the national guard that day or more police as Bowser made security a joke. I would advise people if something is too good to be true, refuse it like for example some asshole offering cheap guns to pull a John Wilkes Booth at that protest should be beaten and turned over to the authorities.

Found these jerking to milley and using hypothetical trump

She didn't provide any proof, that I have seen so I have to rely on the facts.
That's your first mistake.
Actually most of my interactions in threads are quite pleasant. Its unusual to see so many guards trying to purity check me with bad faith or lob unrelated logical fallacies, despite the fact I am agreeing with the same opinions they previously had no issue with.

You're just being a colossal cunt mate. Take fifteen minutes from here, have a smoke, a drink, think a little, then come back.

Sorry, what did I do to you?
Yeah being banned is not actually a trial, you don't commonly provide proof. You say, 'hey I got banned'. Also you're not relying on facts. You're leaping to conclusions you clearly want to leap to.
If she was banned, she would show she was banned, take pictures of her device screen, account, ect. Did she? I didn't see any linked.

Just wanted to comment on the Milley situation. The staff meeting he had (not the call with Li/the Pelosi stuff) is actually not totally unprecedented.
No one had told [President Nixon] that, by one of the only measures that truly mattered, his presidency had already ended. The military aide never boarded the plane with the Football; the briefcase wasn't in its normal place on Air Force One, secured in the communications center just behind the cockpit. Even before Gerald Ford took the oath, the White House military apparatus had already taken from Richard Nixon the very power that defined his office. In fact, days before the administration's dramatic denouement, Defense Secretary James Schlesinger had issued an unprecedented set of orders: If the president issued any nuclear launch order, military commanders should check with either him or Secretary of State Henry Kissinger before executing them. Schlesinger feared that the president, who seemed depressed and was drinking heavily, might order Armageddon. And on that August morning, the military and White House aides had left the nuclear codes with the incoming president. -- Garrett M. Graff, Raven Rock

The office of the president is typically de facto subordinate to the Deep State, and has been for a long time.
