Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Well, if they push 10 miles and only get rolled back 2 miles by any GOP take over, they're still 8 miles ahead.
Here's the problem with this general mindset. They keep their gains because they have, through sheer force of corruption, prevented the pendulum from swinging backwards. The pendulum will eventually swing back, and the harder and longer they keep their gains... the harder it will swing back.

Do you call the abortion issue in florida a swing or just soming to run on for 2022 & 2024

And for a second everyone cheered at how they were going to man up their effeminate ass society and make the gaming bois stop doing that one thing that makes them happy.
i'm sure all those giant meetups will not end with them banding together to vent on the chinks cool with fucking their game time
Hmmm...for some reason remember Nicolai Ceausescu giving a speech to a bunch of people in Timisoara, Romania, just before Christmas 1989. Things went south very quickly. He and his wife were tried and executed on Christmas Day 1989.

Could such a thing happen in China? Probably not right now. But at the rate things are going, anything is possible. Sure does look like the debt bubble is bursting, and there seem to be some food issues. Still don't know if the Chinese have their African swine flu under control. Chinese eat a lot of pork, their preferred meat.

Would say people all over are living in interesting times. If you don't believe you are living in interesting times, you simply aren't paying attention.

I'm so mad that I can't rate this :optimistic: six or seven times. I'm aching for the day the pendulum swings, and I hope I live long enough to see it. I don't even care if it swings so far that I end up being purged. I just want to see these horrible people get what they deserve.

Abortion in general is going to become more of an issue. Abortion, as a political topic, is one of the big pillars that the left has forced to one side. As Texas shows, the issue is only more hotly debated and was just waiting for a somewhat more tolerant Supreme Court to reignite in full.

The left could, for a time, 'win' the issue and hold their gains. But the harder they tried to hold it without compromise, the more likely it became to backfire. Issues like the absolutely abhorrent Virginia shit even back when it was signed made Roberts uneasy, if brought to the current SCOTUS it'd see some rather unpleasant effects IF they brought it on.

It's a good thing the left hasn't been doing anything to piss off and make hostile SCOTUS... oh.

These things don't swing on their own. Someone has to do something

The abortion issue interests me, because there has been a third side emerging. It's not just pro-life vs. pro-choice. There is now a pro-abortion side as well.

When I was in my youth and 100% pro-choice, it was with the understanding that third trimeter abortions were absolute no-nos unless someone's life was in danger. No matter "when" you think life starts, the baby is fully alive at 22 weeks or so.

Now we have pro-abortion people that think abortion should be legal up to the point the woman goes into labor. Combined with the fact that they are teaching young women that they "need" abortion because a baby will ruin their lives, even in their 20s and married.

I have no idea if anything will change, or it's just the inevitable result of everything being more polarized, but it fascinates me.

The mountain states will get wrecked first. But yeah, they'll reach the Great Plains sooner or later.
I, for one, cannot wait for the culture shock when they do. Police shot someone here a week ago and all the comment sections were “Good! He deserved it!“ and “Don’t resist arrest then!” And when dangerhairs showed up at city council to beg for a mask mandate months ago, they were openly laughed at by the council members. This is not a small town in the Midwest either, so they won’t be able to takeover as easily as the places in Idaho and Montana where they are now.

It depends on the military. Always does with despotic regimes. The moment the military is fed up or united under someone they're willing to go all the way with, it's over for the man or party in charge.

The Pro-Choice side is the Pro-Abortion side. This isn't just being flippant, there is so much crossover and an absolute unwillingness to condemn it from the Pro-Choice side that the two entities are indistinguishable to anyone without a concrete opinion, let alone Pro-Life.

Trump really broke these people. I know Trump is gone now, but it really feels like Trump forced these people to show their true colors. The frog is no longer in the boiling pot; the left and the MSM are flat out spraying people with boiling water.

There is a concept of "extinction event" when it comes to dealing with narcissists when they feel like their power is slipping so they try "one last hurrah" to get everything back to normal. It really feels like that is what Biden and the Dems are trying to do right now. Maybe white pill, but it feels like the Dems think it's now or never in some ways.

I'm not 100% on that. It does feel like there is a rift between people that think abortion is a necessary evil and people that think it's necessary period.

I do agree though that the pro-life side will never condemn the pro-abortion side, but I feel like its for the same reason the trans movement thinks they can dominate women's spaces and everyone that opposes it is just transphobic. It feels more out of fear than actual agreement.

Even Trump is calling the 18th a glow factory. The interview is formatted oddly but he talks about multiple things briefly.

It is now or never. The populace got fed up, and launched an orange-skinned Molotov at the establishment. The Establishment realized what it meant, the pendulum swing was now moving against them. Their only choice is to seize all control or be wrecked in its wake.

It's no longer a case of incremental wins, kept in place through power. That paradigm has passed. Now it's all or nothing, either they force the pendulum still or they are crushed.

That's because they're not trying hard enough. Their focus right now is subverting and transforming Idaho and Montana.
Just wait until they start importing massive amounts of illegals and the kids of said illegals grow up and run for all sorts of spots in office.

China's much better at massive, multi-sided civil wars and enormous famines than they have ever been at foreign military adventurism. If I had to bet money on the next half-century, I'd lay money that China goes through yet another of their many cycles of warlordism, civil war, and famine. That's a much more likely bet than a strong central authority either maintaining control over China or gaining lasting power over foreign areas.

Another interesting thing to consider is that the Chinese central authorities, like the USSR authorities before them, may well have no clear, accurate view of what is happening at lower levels. Everyone lies, and everyone lies upwards. China is the land of the little lie that covers a big problem, but saves face.
