Patrick Sean Tomlinson / @stealthygeek / "Torque Wheeler" / @RealAutomanic / Kempesh / Padawan v2.5 - "Conservative" sci-fi author with TDS, armed "drunk with anger management issues" and terminated parental rights, actual tough guy, obese, paid Quasi, paid thousands to be repeatedly unbanned from Twitter

The black guy behind the right shoulder of Joe is hilarious.
We referred to him as Expressive Black Guy

I almost feel bad for the guy with these calls, however from everything I’ve seen and the more I deep dive - the more apparent it becomes he’s a genuinely bad person.

Condescending, rude - unwarranted arrogance. Never wrong, never to be questioned.

Just the lolcow prototype really.
It's weird, there are times on the phone calls where Rick comes across as a normal and reasonable person, and for a moment I sympathize with him. Then he says something like "these people are terrorists, the worst people on Earth, and deserve nothing but death." and the sympathy washes away like sweat off of Rick's bacon back.

Even if he doesn’t have to cover the SFWA costs when the case is finally closed and lost (a big if according to their terms to legal fee loans) - he will be personally liable for the 24k and rising to be paid to Quasi.

He doesn’t work and hasn’t for a long time, he has no discernible source of income.

His “beast” mustang could maybe get 2-3000, the bike another 1000. He has no other assets worth anything much at all.

There is no way he can raise 25 grand. I guess he has to hope the court and quasi will accept a payment plan.

He can't just throw his hands up and say "Welp! I don't have $25k. Looks like I'm gonna have to declare bankruptcy". That shit has to be approved by a judge. He will have to report all his assets and sources of income, and they will see that he took out tens of thousands of dollars in PPP loans which means either:

A. He's going to jail for PPP fraud for reporting income that he doesn't actually make
or
B. He's gonna have to pay Quasi using that income, whether it's selling insurance or what, even if it takes him 10 years to pay it back.

Does his State have Sheriff Sales? If so they can get that money by selling everything he owns. They may even be able to put a lien on his wife's property. Rick here doesn't know what a Writ of Execution is I guess (Writ of Enforcement in Canada I believe).

Edit
Info on his State's rules

It's really clear at this point the judge is going to quash the subpoena. So since Pat has claimed he will not pay Quasi and also appeal, what kind of legal consquences does he face if he doesn't pay?
If he appeals he can probably put off paying (but he will end up being responsible for more if he loses). If his intent is to refuse to pay even if the matter is final, it comes down to a question of who wants to deal with more aggravation. It can be expensive and time consuming to collect on a judgement from an individual. But there are tools (and people) to help do it.

Possibly contempt of the interviews are admissible. At the very least he faces liens on his property. I really hope Quasi isn't Mr. Nice Guy about it.

Pat's twitter was filled with more politisperging today. The one interesting thread I found was this:

I think the stress is starting to take its toll.

Someone on the other forums posted this. I usually don't post text messages from Pat here, but in this one he directly comments on the interviews that are being posted by SpaceEdge.

Rick is fat hence the high blood pressure. He just can't admit he's obese even when his doctor tells him that.

Where did the Judge claim that he doesn't owe Quisi anything? Also, trolling doesn't get people imprisoned, unless it caused harm. Calling you a fat mental reject is protected.

"the judge already said we don't owe Quasi a penny"
No he literally did not. That hasn't been determined yet. Pat's selective version of reality is always a laugh-riot. Also even if he can identify SpaceEdge and if SpaceEdge lives in the USA, Wisconsin is a one party consent state and federal law is one party consent. Federally it wouldn't have been illegal to record the call in and of itself nor would it have been within Wisconsin. In fact he didn't even need to tell him he was being recorded. I assume that was just done on troll's honor, giving Fatrick one last chance to sniff out the deception and back out.

It's also not illegal to misrepresent who you are over the phone unless you're impersonating someone else or pretending to be a certain kind of public official (mostly law enforcement) in any state as far as I'm aware. I don't think pretending to be a journalist to get you to, against all good and reasonable legal advice provided by your lawyers, to discuss ongoing litigation that you're party to, is illegal. And even if it was I'm pretty doubtful that any law enforcement agency is going to waste their time on it. It's funny that apparently FBI officers literally told Pat this already yet he seems to refuse to believe it.

Tens? It's at an upward of 130k across two or three PPP loans. He's definitely going to jail for that when they crack down on him for it, and he'll have all his shit liquidated to pay off Quasi. I highly, highly fucking doubt that a judge would give him bankruptcy because of the PPP loan fraud.
