Has all the hallmarks of an accidental release rather than deliberate. The fact that the current bank crisis is probably a direct result of less export money coming in is another good sign for that. It was probably bad containment procedures, or someone trying to make money on the side, or one of the many "I paid to get this serious position" things that plague China. Seriously, the sheer number of ways it could have legitimately accidentally leaked are... bind boggling for something as serious as diseases.

That's... harder to answer. So let me answer the easy bits first then come round to the hard bit. No, the RINOs aren't powerbrokers, while the rot went deep it didn't go that deep. This was by design, the Uniparty was started by Democrats, for democrats. To allow the Republican side the same level of power would be to create an equal. So the actual RINOs were always kept to a fairly small number and in key places, but never saw the mass infiltration of the Establishment into every nook and cranny. Hence how we got Trump.
The Progs largely have been making deliberate moves, myself and many others dismissed it at the time and we were simply wrong. A pattern appeared as it was going on and made it clear that it was deliberate, orchestrated, and planned. The pieces on the board were less than stellar, but they did have organization. Ironically, the very reason nobody saw it coming was the same thing that prevented them from going much deeper. While it was a good opening plan, it didn't really have a second phase. So while everyone was looking for the future plans to confirm the existence of prior plans, their prior plans worked. Nobodys come forward to admit to orchestrating it, but it's been heavily thought to have been Chinese assets working to increase communism. So in a roundabout way, AOC is a Chinese asset.
Now the hard part. Answering the future prospects of the Republican party is difficult due to the election fortification. Or to put more bluntly the blatant cheating. Things have successfully been dismantled, but the larger structure that allowed it remains largely untouched save for a handful of states that passed proactive laws rather than reactive teardowns. If this remains unaddressed, the future is grim as the Establishment can successfully close off avenues of advance. For now, this is not an issue as the reactive teardowns are sufficient to level the playing field to normal levels.
