Townsend isn't a nerd so probably not relevant to OP's interest, but he's excellent too. Like the Garrisson Keillor of Youtube food channels.

I don't know much about Babish's lifedrama beyond YT. I was going to ask if Babish has begged his subscribers to fuck his wife yet, but then I thought - would James Townsend approve of me asking such a thing? - and the answer was no, probably not.

ragusea legitimately makes me angry whenever I see his punchable face and I have no idea why. something visceral I guess, he just looks and sounds like a cunt bag.

max Miller is great, I really appreciate the amount of research he puts into his videos, and he isn't as pozzed as you'd expect a gay youtuber thats also a Pokemon fan to be lol.

I'm a big fan of Binging with Babish. Andrew makes some quality videos but like other popular youtubers as he fame grows he starts bringing in more and more people and now he's got spin off series on his channel that bore the shit out of me. I came for that bald headed fucker Andrew, not his little asian friend or the frumpy bitch.

His wife is an endearingly shy dude named Jose. They (and their cat) have a side channel called "Ketchup with Max and Jose", which is an informal talk-stream format.

If I had any complaints about Max at all, it's that he almost seems too perfectly suited for a channel like this. He's the Platonic ideal of that one gay friend every lonely Millennial woman dreams about - charismatic, handsome, gay, loves to cook, loves to sing, enjoys vintage chick movies and can do impressions of old timey movie stars, likes wine but not to the point of a problem, uses double entendres but keeps it PG-rated, owns a cat, had a day job playing Prince Charming at a Disney theme park, etc - and yet he manages all that while still carrying himself as the kind of dude who can change your tire and fix your kitchen sink, if and when the need arises.

And guys are down with Max, too, because Max likes beer and whiskey, rocks the Pikachu merch in a way that's curiously not embarrassing, he isn't a soychud like Babish and Ragusea, and he's good friends with James Townsend (which is the only endorsement anyone ever needs, really).


I'm not saying it's an act, and Max is secretly a deranged serial killer or something. But there's gotta be at least some unpaid paring tickets somewhere, right?

If you can stand subtitles this guy is great, I started to learn how to filet fish because of his videos. He is also the ultra stereotype of "If it comes from the ocean, the Japanese will eat it". He does very simple seafood recipes that are easy to replicate.

I like Ragusea's content, but you should keep his journoslime roots in mind. He's good at presenting science, that doesn't necessarily mean he understands it. He's been known to make some pretty boneheaded mistakes that other youtubers have called him out for.

Your best bet for food science is Kenji Lopez-Alt, who is a professional chef and MIT graduate. He doesn't really have neat videos dedicated to specific topics, he just streams himself doing recipes and occasionally rambles about the science behind certain techniques, but he clearly knows his shit.

I mean, he's very obviously a history nerd, and that shit's full of people denouncing the gheys, killing eachother and other unwoke stuff. So he's likely developed a thicker skin and more mental maturity than the average LA faggot who was shocked to discover that the Taliban politely declined the offer to include disabled black trannies in their government.

Max actually did a shout-out to Shad in his most recent video, which was pretty amazing.

If you're not into history-nerd-tube, that name probably means nothing to you; Shadiversity is a Mormon Australian D&D dork who does swordguy videos alongside such luminaries as Lindybeige, Scholagladiatoria, Skallagrim, and Metatron. He's arguably the least charismatic - but for that preise reason, also the most endearing and sympathetic - of the entire history nerd noble class on Youtube, and Max coming out as a Shadstan is sure to launch a thousand 'ships.

That's right on the money. He's spergy, a bit soyish and more of an ethusiastic amateur than an expert, but he clearly loves the subject matter and has an impressive output. Hard to dislike the guy.
