I found it worse that a JP company fold so easily. Bug going to be bug, but if they gave up and turn tail after a few spam from lowlives, then good luck trying to promote anything on twitter. They land a promotion with Kson not because they offer the most cash, but because Kson is really passionate with janky/less than perfect indies game - she even played quite a few game the company published. Throwing her under the bus to please B2 wouldn't go well for them. I hope JP and Western fans tear them a new one.

After discovering VTubers back in Agusust last year, now I know the scary amount of Japanese companies essentially kowtowing to China. For example: Joypolis, which Hololive is part of the sponsorship even after the Taiwan incident, is majority owned by a Chinese company.

Absolute miracle that Hololive were still in though.

Im not entirely surprised Japanese companies rely so much on Chinese investments. Japan is an overpopulated island with a relatively small market for most of its own products despite being the origin of a lot of current nerd culture. China is the closest large market for them so it makes sense they'd cater there first. Problem is China is better off being delet.
