The Delta Flyers podcast run by Robert Duncan McNiel and Garret Wang has become more and more greedy for money. They were going to triple their prices for no reason. They actually have tiers that cost over $250 dollars.

It sucks to realize someone you once admired is a complete phony. He was always just a dumb actor. Once parroting words that other people wrote for him, and now parroting talking points he's been given. He was never intelligent like the characters he played. This statement goes for the rest of the TNG cast as well. Except for Based Barclay, of course.
The fact that this is what Star Trek has become and comparing it side to side to the shows from 60s-2000s is very depressingYAAAAAAASSSS DANCE DANCE DAAANCE!!!
THIS is nutrek everybody. I hear they recovered the rocket used to send Gene Rodenberry's casket to space and placed it below the set so all the brain-neutered, vaccinated actors could literally dance on that old bigot's grave. A scene of handsome young Uhura twerking was removed because her fat ass destroyed the stage and she landed right next to Rodenberry's rotting corpse. She then proceeded to vomit, piss, and shit all over herself and Mr. Rodenberry. It took over an hour for the crew and cast members to help her out of the pit her fat ass created because they thought she was sending a powerful message to all those meanie Trek fans. Sadly, Uhura will not be returning to Season 3 of Strange New Worlds because she drowned in a pool of her vomit, piss, and shit. That's yet another black life Gene Rodenberry has to answer for. How can you STILL defend him?
Hey, no time to think. Time for more singing.
All systems stable except for the erections of the show's writers and producers.
iirc it's broccoli's birthday todayExcept for Based Barclay, of course.
Star Trek has been dead for almost two decades when Enterprise ended. What you currently see floating on the current of diarrhea (streaming) is a mangled corpse brought to life by JJ Abrams, Kurtzman, and co using dark magic. Paramount is afraid to put it down because they've invested too much into it. They know this wouldn't be happening if they hadn't killed it two decades ago. Alas, the monster exists and it's only getting stronger. DON'T BE AFRAID TO SHOOT! It's not really Star Trek and it never will be. This is also the case with most big name franchises these days.Star Trek has been dead for almost two decades when Enterprise ended. From what I recall it was Gene Roddenberry himself who would constantly meddle with things like that. I specifically remember a story arc where Kirk was put on trial (IIRC for his constant violating the Prime Directive), where a new character (the prosecutor) was supposed to become his love interest. After a few issues she disappeared, and the editor/publisher/whoever said something along the lines of, "Gene didn't like her, so she had to go."I used to read all those DC Trek comics starting around 1989 or 1990. I remember very little about them, except the letters column where the editor was constantly bitching about Paramount meddling in their storytelling. I remember they forbade them from using characters from the Animated series. Any time they introduced new characters, Paramount would tell them to knock it off. And I think they didn't have the actors' likeness rights to anyone except the main cast.

That was a pretty nice little comic. The depiction of the holodeck is weird, though, since the entrance looks like a building facade and it's referred to as a "holochamber".-snip-
Fool, it's because none of the writers for that stupid show ever watched that episode. If an earring is bad, then imagine how real Starfleet would like a hood that severely limits your field of vision. Not to mention that the hijab originates from the Muslim hatred of women. Putting it in the 24th century means that prejudice against women still exists which contradicts basically everything.but also because I remember Riker reaming Ensign Ro out for her teeny Bajoran earring not very long before LD takes place.
These writers are so fucking stupid. Are they going to give every Mexican character a sombrero so we understand that they're cool with the Mexicans? Maybe have the black characters doing voodoo chants across the ships to respect their culture. We need to put hijabs to make sure people understand that we fricking love the Muslims!
If an engineer wears a hijab then you know who blew up the plasma relay.I’m catching up on this thread and the hijabi lady in Lower Decks bothered me for all of the above lib fellating reasons, but also because I remember Riker reaming Ensign Ro out for her teeny Bajoran earring not very long before LD takes place. It was a very stupid, self congratulatory way to show religious diversity among humans. A Sikh with a knife would’ve been a cool parallel to the Tamarian officer and his ritual weapon.
It's from the episode Cause and Effect. I thought it was from NuTrek too.Since when is LaForge from Mogadishu? Is this NuTrek bullshit?

and even if he's from Mogadishu, that doesn't mean that he's muslim since we know that Humanity has moved away from the religions. Also the reason why they're all muslims is because if you don't convert to Islam you and your family will be slaughtered. It's from the episode Cause and Effect. I thought it was from NuTrek too.
