One tidbit I’ll share is that I didn’t receive an emergency alert on my phone. Usually when anything remotely near me happens, I do. Like, I regularly get amber alerts issued in Vancouver, which is over 12 hours away. I thought this was really weird.
For those of you at all curious, Tumbler Ridge is a bit of a shit hole. The place is literally a company town like the ones in West Virginia. It used to host a larger coal mine, but much of the industry in northern British Columbia died out in the early 2000s. Mining restarted recently, and considering that the family is from Newfoundland, that’s probably why they’re there.
Almost all gun crime in Canada is committed with gun smuggled into the country from the US or stolen guns. Consider the Nova Scotia shootings in 2020.
Nowadays It’s impossible to legally obtain pistols and anything the government has deemed to be an assault weapon. Metro Toronto and Metro Vancouver only have gun crime issues because jeets have guns brought across the border. In Winnipeg the natives usually just stab people. This shooting was seemingly done with the family’s hunting guns, which isn’t surprising.
Mass shootings like this rarely happen. When they do, they can usually be boiled down to the aforementioned Indian (feather and dot) gang banging or something like this. The Quebec City Mosque Shooting was a bit unusual. Bissonette had his PAL and RPAL licences. In other words, his guns were his own and actually legal.
Too lazy to dig up his post, but I’m not sure if this will lead to any new laws like Null said. Our terrorist connected Sri Lankan safety minister has been pushing to ban more guns, and natives get really mad about it. Despite the fact that this troon probably used the same guns, I don’t think the government can really do more without pissing off our sacred cows.

-According to an alleged Tumbler resident, Ana, suspect was a "young man dressed up as a girl."
-Same witness said suspect "killed his mom kid brother sister"
-An alleged neighbor, Cole atkin, claims that "suspect killed his mother and brother with a shotgun" and that the "suspect has been confirmed to be a transgender teenager."
-Amy Eileen Hamm knew 2 locals who identified the suspect as being 17 years old, was part of the Facebook group with the shooter's mother. Said mother expressed concern due to her son expressing pleasure at hurting his sibling years ago.

Users think that Zylii or Dustin is too old to be the shooter, he is 24 years old. He's apparently a cousin or something. Strange family.

Jesse Strang was an ≈18 year old Male to Female Tranny. Showed signs of depression and suicidal ideation at age 15. He enjoyed pretending to be a girl. He also liked anime, but had a hard time making friends at school. Couldn't stop comparing his body to 2D anime girls and felt horrified at his twink body slowly degrading (developing into a man) from testosterone.

The characters are always so cute! I don’t want to be 2D, or anything like the characters themselves. I am noticing heavy changes in my appearance every month, by the time I’m actually able to visit. I may have severe damage from Testosterone changing my body.
This is extremely stressful, the wait alone makes me want to die. The uncertainty not knowing how the HRT will even effect me, not knowing if I’ll ever be me.
But add onto it, the slow degradation of my body in front of my very eyes, awaiting this appointment. It really hurts, I am genuinely considering taking my own life.
Is there any way, literally any way possible I can speed up this process? I’ve heard that a general practitioner in BC can technically prescribe HRT to a trans patient, but I don’t know.
In his response to "Gun rights for me, not for thee" he bemoaned how people don't see Hormone Replacement Therapy as a right. He compared HRT to the right to defend oneself. He claimed to have access to several firearms despite being underage.

I’ve noticed this too, it’s disheartening when people act as if they’re “Totally on your side!” Because they support your right to bear arms, which is the bare minimum. How about my right to be myself? Or, my right to Hormone Replacement Therapy. I’m a 15 year old trans person, transitioning from Male to Female. I “own” 7 firearms, it’s cool.

There's a big difference between a publication ban for his hearing and there being zero coverage about the case.
This tends to happen with high profile hearings. Karla Homolka had a publication ban but that didn't stop her and Bernardo's case from being one of the most publicized cases in Canadian history.
There's a lot of shit you can toss at Canada (Omar Khadr, anyone?) but this isn't one of them.
In Canada you can kill 11 people, injure 32+ more and everyone is just totally okay with knowing nothing about it for coming up nearly a full year. I think Zylii might be a cousin or someone else related. Unless I missed something, Zylii moved to Tumblr some time around 2022-2023, and took the last name Strang, which is right around the same time Jesse Strang started posting on reddit about being trans. If Zylii actually does live in Tumblr, I can't imagine they aren't related in some way.
