With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

He can excuse it away all he wants, but had that gone well Nick wouldn’t have been on Kill Tony by himself. (I still find it hilarious that Nick was invited to do it explicitly without Sam.)

The second he got attention from Saint Rogies with his new “talk show”, he ruins it by turning it into nothing by poor attempts at comedy, interviewing clearly insane people, and completely dropping off his “every Saturday night” schedule.

Rate me dumb for sperging about it here and not his own thread. But, as many others have said, Fishtank will do way better the further he stays away from it.

Up until last year, Sam was well on his way to semi mainstream success, but then he doubled down on the politisperging and put comedy on the back burner. Seeing Sam self sabotage after S3 was pretty eye opening. I guess this was just the cycle repeating itself.

I think it's pretty clear at this point that sam was cucking fishtank with his perfectionism and egofagging, which has basically fucked up everything he's ever touched to some extent.

there are just so many moments this season that sam would have vibekilled. like all the stuff with bam and bashir would've just been replaced with sam like cynically shit-talking him and now we've got bam getting him to spill all his autistic beliefs and lore all over the place because he thinks bam thinks he's cool. maybe bam does even think he's cool. who knows, what matters is bam is getting him to be himself and provide organically autistic content and sam would have gone straight for the "nuke this faggot's ego" route just like he's done with other fish(Alex B, Cole, Jimmy)

I know this is an extremely unpopular opinion but by the end of S3 I somewhat came around on Simbal. Like yeah the "HOW CAN HE TOUCH" shit with Luke was cringe and he did some weird shit and that was the Indian DNA in him but he felt like he tried to be an ok dude and ended up being decent contestant.

Disagree. He only was content because his Izzat hit zero from Jobe and he went full loathsome street shitter. Without Jobe he'd just be creepy and annoying nontent and was only a good contestant because he was so profoundly slimey and hateable after that.

Favorite clip so far this season and represents everything that is awesome about this show. Objectively amazing.

A Pajeeta hired to control a crappy rolling tablet delivering a love letter to two retarded twins while playing romantic music and having a rose taped to it. The love letter asks Bingo and Bongo to draw a dolphin jumping out of the water.
