Talk about jumping to conclusions. The poor fucker on the other end is feeding him babble jargon and Tom's addled brain translates 'it could take months to process' to 'we have our finest officers working around the clock on this, Ms. Sexy and attractive Wasserberg'. So, key points:
- Tom once again, for the umpteenth time, thinks hes 'won'. Everyone's busted, you're all going to jail, fuck you.
- Giving the police random information doesn't actually aid them in doing investigations. Unless his mother and his aunt know his current whereabouts at all times or he's living with them giving up their numbers is like giving them the number to Pizza Hut because he likes to eat there.
- The fact that Tom manages to 'prove' he's not a registered sex offender and they still kick him out speaks volumes. He can't read between the lines; he's so toxic they're looking for excuses to get rid of him.
- What the fuck is in that metal bowl? Rotting lettuce? Grease?
- Is his version of touring the same as when he was at The Hut; waddling up near an actual band and tooting along while they drown him out?
- No lawyer is going to work pro-bono for Tom. None. He can't save up or earn enough money to afford one and he's not gonna get some pity lawyer to come out of nowhere and defend him. Even if he found the sleaziest lawyer he could they wouldn't touch this shit if there was no money to be made and welp...there's not one penny on the line here.
