In that same pose, it could look like he was throwing a wooden spoon away from himself or something. You could just shop one in on a top layer, shrink it down.Damn I want to incorporate a wooden spoon somehow. But I am not sure what King Harkinian would be doing in his current pose with one. Perhaps a tiny one on his crown?
More than likely. It was brought up a few times as an example of police brutality -- which backfired on the people trying to make it a sob story, because MOVE and groups like the Black Liberation Army weren't exactly the innocent little angels it was presented as. While some people take issue with the unintended consequences of the bombing and its necessarily risky nature, when people cracked open the hood and read into the history of the event, it wasn't as if the people bunkering down weren't asking for something stupid to happen to 'em.Part of me feels like he only learned about that with the recent rise in popularity of BLM.
As others have pointed out, it's just some illogical fixation that people from the eastern side (and jersey) seem to have. However, I think Lou is seriously insecure about this topic. Not sure what he has against Wawa though, both them and Sheetz are good.
Firstly - he identifies as a 'Pittsburgher,' despite the fact that he lives way way outside of the city's limits. I think he wants to move here, but he's fat and pathetic and has no income. Secondly though, I think he sees it as an opportunity to grift and couch-surf. Other examples that've been mentioned, like ADF (and Big Red also comes to my memory) have managed to get by by hopping from couch to couch, apartment to apartment, and abused various squatters' rights laws when they can. Pittsburgh certainly presents more opportunity for that than does Greensburg... but Philly presents even more opportunity for grifting, for surfing, for being complete scum; even more public resources to take advantage of.
That all probably feeds in to some weird insecurity that some people on this side of the state have of not being in Philly. Pittsburgh is a nice, sleepy town with plenty to do that doesn't feel overcrowded (not that Lou knows this); I quite like it. But someone like Lou, who believes himself to be a great gift to humanity deserving of far more than his stature, will often nurture a grudge that the "REAL" city isn't where they are, isn't where they're living the dream -- or whatever other illogical complexes build up in people with small-town anxiety.
The era of farmers fraternizing in the meatspace is probably long-gone now that we're known of as devious internet terrorists who dare to make fun of ridiculous people on the internet. I'd certainly love to shoot the breeze with other Pittsburgh folks about ol' Lou's behavior, but there's just too much risk involved in tying your actual identity to this place if you don't know the individuals fairly well beforehand. Comforting as it might be to physically meet people who are still able to call the emperor naked, eh.You're a Seattleite too? No shit! Small world. Next time I come home, we should get drinks and egg some Madison Park houses.
There's an appropriate resonance here. Some political sperging:
Lou is a grifting motherfucker NEET who has never earned income trying to dictate minimum wage amounts. Fetterman is a rich kid that moved into Braddock and gentrified the fuck out of it with art projects to launch his own political career as a younger Saint Bernard. Together, they'll help to advocate that thousands to millions of Pennsylvanians get their hours cut even below 29.5 and their coverages reduced while their positions are automated out where possible (if they are not simply eliminated outright), all because learning what an EITC is or what annually-adjusted state/county minimum wages are or what targeted supplemental income policies are is way, way too hard and too many words.
