Yeah Blake is a true genius, this genius intellect will be great running a cartoon like the Power of Four which will definitely happen.
But I still don't see it really. It's like, and I'm just assuming here so please correct me if I am wrong so yeah, Blake only watched a few clips just to write it off as a show with bad writing, but has never given a show a proper chance.

He's probably watched the show with how he's been obsessed with it for years and screamed about it.
But if it was only clips, it really is a mystery why he's not productive on his show.
This doesn't surprise me either. It's clearly hard to tell whether or not his reasons are meaningful, so it's yet another piece of Blake's classic mumbling and repeating.

It makes absolutely no sense why Blake hates it so much for bad writing and mean spiritedness but is tame and more conservative when you compare it to something like Mr Pickles which is loaded with edgy satanic symbolism. The Oblongs to me Is really funny because it feels more relevant today than it is then so there was a reason I liked it so much. I guess the whole people saying ketchup in high school to annoy him and his feelings of not being popular at his high school may contribute to his hatred to this show.
The Oblongs is an underrated animated sitcom, a classic for sure. Blake just assumes that it has "mean-spirited" writing and that it's "too edgy," when it's more tame in comparison to the likes of Drawn Together, Metalocalypse, Superjail or Big Mouth (only the former three I love, while Big Mouth still sucks).

Absolutely. I feel the Oblongs is more relevant than ever considering the state of the world and the edginess and mean-spiritedness would make a lot of sense here. He mentioned the first episode of the show that traumatized him at the age of 18. (You have to be in such a weird situation to manifest that perception). I enjoyed that first episode, to call it traumatizing is an understatement. I hated nearly every clip I saw on the MDPOPE compilation (especially the animal abuse ones) but I understand the intention especially with the title which makes sense as it's a compilation of the worst of humanity (often commentated in A Serbian Film, which is a film I really liked). I couldn't imagine Blake going through that, then again, The human mind is a really absurd and complex one. I am really questioning Blake's perspective here.

Yes. Blake admitted this is a trigger word for him. Autistic people in correlation with uncivilized people have trigger words, like how liberals and niggers are offended at hearing the word nigger despite saying it all the time.

Is Blake fucking serious?
I first saw the show when I was like 10 and I was laughing my ass off. Even years later the show still makes me giggle like a retard.
What's his other points why the show is bad? I'd watch the video but his voice legitimately hurts my ears.

03bgood got the grating voice in the same manner Monika Punk has but he also stated how he hated the show for being too political incorrect which is hypocritical because he complained about political correctness regarding YouTube's policies. But yeah. From what I can recall from the first episode I saw. There was a boy who got promoted out of special education and has a crush on a rich alien looking girl but the 2 boys get in his way. This made Blake really angry. He mentioned how much he hated the bully characters which makes no sense to leave them out in a show referencing income inequality and late stage capitalism.
Blake claiming the show has bad writing is something I disagree with. This is one of the funniest shows I ever seen next to Monty Python's Flying Circus and Murdoch Murdoch.

I watched that first episode earlier and I'm pretty sure the two boys get comeuppance too. Which is even more confusing.
Fucking hell, ketchup being his trigger word would've been acceptable if he was 3-6 years old. Not while he's fucking 18 and older.
It's unsurprising that he's still a hypocrite calling YouTube as JewTube due to its questionable content policies and then turn around and say that they're "nazis" without any meaning whatsoever.
Oh and The Oblongs is one of my favorite shows, bar none. It still holds up strongly.

Yeah. Blake is one of those people who constantly shift between liberal and conservative viewpoints. His view on politics is similar to that of a 10-year old.
Which is funny, most of mainstream media has their view on politics similar to that of 10-year-olds as well. Blake's political views are no different from the mainstream media. He wants to act like any other party in the political spectrum, yet he isn't really seen as a centrist or anything.

I mean there's shows that people like that I hate for whatever reason but who the fuck really cares? To carry this kind of abject hatred for a TV show to this point is ridiculous. But then this is Blake we're talking about and spergs gotta sperg.
The difference is that he never watched them or never got what they were saying. It's like how Chris doesn't understand that Family Guy is a spoof of small town conservatives and that Seth McFarland is himself a lefty liberal. No that would require actual understanding of the source material and where Seth is coming from.
Blake is only seeing what's on the surface and not the commentary going on. The Oblongs was a rather dark satire of class division in America or at least that was it's intent. It's a spoof of people who are always trying to keep up appearances and to one up their neighbors. But on the whole it was pretty funny. Blake just doesn't get any of that because, "it's mean". Meanwhile he's being a little bitch and acting as if he's never been mean to anybody in his life.
He has no views of his own so I'd wager that his Mom or somebody said the show was bad so he simply went with that.

Pretty much explains his lack of understanding of politics. Similar to how Chris Chan effortlessly was convinced out of his abrahamic religion to his own secular religion over the years of trolling and escapism and his perceived views on Donald Trump (A retarded president who was rattified by the news to be an extremist when in reality is a tame autistic president). based on public opinion. Blake himself says he's a Christian and I am not going to say I know all about it but Blake does have notable sins (like everyone else had before).
Aren't you thinking of the earlier seasons of Seth's other show American Dad and its portrayal of conservatism? Because Family Guy just makes fun of everything, even if Seth MacFarlane is a diehard leftist.
