In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, most of the convention scene canceled their events until at least the fall of 2020.
In early May, Funimation announced they were going to host a "virtual convention" dubbed FunimationCon, a "two-day stream of cosplay meetups, industry panels, Q&A sessions, and more" during the weekend of July 3-4, 2020:

The full schedule is posted on the website, but apparently they are on Instagram posts (off to a great start).
Registration is advertised as free.

The potential for this to become a trashfire is something to watch for.

If Funimation's recent streaming woes are something to take into account, then expect streaming failures to be a regular occurrence.
Should there be a drinking game for every technical failure?

They should get vic!

It will basically be one of those celebrity zoom call podcasts but more edited and clean.

So no need to have vic even in the same or state as monica or the twins. It could even be pre-recorded so vic wouldn't be able to say anything that could surprise or manage to make her uncomfortable in someway referencing something awkward. Vic would also not be in the vicinity of any underage girls. Perfect and fair!

Of course I am being sarcastic, it would be amazing if such an occurrence took place. Could be fertile ground for an amicable settlement/agreement to start though...

...oh wait, only vic would actually turn the other cheek and try to heal the situation.

Its lunacy to expect people to recognize that a public accusation needs to be backed up with some sort of legal judgement or ATTEMPT at tangible evidence all while in a timely manner, is mandatory or it is absolutely defamation legally speaking, as well as a morally vile attempt to drag society back to the days of drowning witches based on hen chatter and goat bones.

Unless this gets heavily moderated, this has the makings of an unmitigated disaster. And also, who the hell is going to watch this on a 4th of July weekend? Even without the fireworks, people are going to barbecue or have family gatherings.

Imagine going to a BBQ party and you’re watching this virtual convention from your phone the whole party. A friend walks up to you and asks you what you’re doing, and you tell him what you’re watching. That friend would laugh you off the face of the Earth.

Most of the people they're catering to don't go outside to begin with.
