5'10" at 275 lbs is heavy for sure but you can do it. Don't try to lose it all at once and keep exercise low impact (i.e. not sprinting) until you clock in at less than 250-225 lbs for the sake of your knees. Swimming laps is one of the best exercises that fat people can do, low impact and high effort.
A word of advice, enjoy the gains (losses?) you get now while they last. The worst kind of weight loss is incremental/low value weight loss. Trying to lose my spare tire (~10lbs of flab) at 180lbs hasn't really been fun.
